Key Responsibilities:
Manual Testing (90%):
- Develop and execute manual test cases for various software applications, with a focus on ensuring product quality and reliability.
- Identify, document, and track software defects to resolution, ensuring thorough testing coverage across all functional areas.
- Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to understand product requirements and develop comprehensive test plans and strategies
Mobile App Testing / Web Application Testing:
Conduct thorough testing of mobile applications across different platforms (iOS, Android) to ensure functionality, usability, and performance meet specified requirements.
Validate mobile app behavior under various conditions, including different network speeds, screen resolutions, and device configurations.
API Testing , Performance Testing/ Database Testing
Design, execute, and maintain API test cases using tools like Postman, ensuring proper data validation, error handling, and response verification.
Perform API integration testing to validate data communication between different software components and third-party systems.
Validate data integrity and consistency through database testing.
Perform SQL queries to verify data and perform backend testing
Automation (10%):
Utilize automation tools and frameworks to develop and maintain automated test scripts for regression testing, focusing on improving efficiency and reducing manual testing efforts.
Collaborate with the automation team to enhance existing automation frameworks and integrate automated test suites into the continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipeline.
Additional Responsibilities:
Leadership Experience:
- Provide mentorship and guidance to junior QA team members, assisting in their professional growth and skill development.
- Lead by example, fostering a culture of quality excellence and continuous improvement within the QA team.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience in software quality assurance, with a focus on Manual Testing.
- Proven experience in mobile app testing and API testing
- Proven Experience with SQL and database testing
- Strong understanding of software development lifecycle (SDLC) and testing methodologies.
- Hands-on experience with test management tools (e.g., JIRA, TestRail) and version control systems (e.g., Git).
- Experience in automation testing with at least 5 years of hands-on experience in scripting automated test cases using tools like Selenium, Appium, or similar technologies.
- Leadership experience, with a demonstrated ability to lead and mentor teams effectively.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams in an agile environment.
