What success looks like in this role:
- In-depth knowledge and experience on
- Management and administration of Windows server operating systems and roles.
- Trouble shooting OS related issues which include memory dump analysis skills and performance tuning.
- Server security hardening which includes patching, antivirus, IPSec encryptions and implementing security policies.
- Microsoft Failover clustering and NLB services.
- Designing Server infrastructure on various Server hardware with good knowledge on Storage, networking, firewalls etc.
- Powershell scripting to perform/automate various tasks.
- implementing and managing various Server infrastructure roles/services like IIS, FTP, Telnet, DNS, DHCP, Firewall, WSUS, DFS-N, DFSR, NPS etc.
- Planning, deploying and maintaining VMware vSphere environments.
- Installing, configuring and maintaining VMware ESX/ESXi hypervisors.
- Troubleshooting VCenter, ESX and ESXi hosts issues including Networking and storage.
- Capacity planning skill for virtual hosts and VMs.
- Configuring and managing Zerto Replication for Disaster Recovery of virtual machines.
- P2V and V2V conversions
- Providing support on cloud services (IAAS and PAAS), with focus on automation
- Develop repeatable solutions to drive operational efficiencies.
- Collaborate with different stakeholders to manage and maintain hybrid cloud environments as per the requirements.
- Troubleshoot issues in cloud and hybrid environments, providing solutions, RCA and mitigations.
- Identify and implement optimization strategies to reduce costs for the customer workloads.
- Good understanding and working experience in ITIL processes (incident, change, problem management etc.)

You will be successful in this role if you have:
- 8+ years of experience in troubleshooting Windows or Linux server issues
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related field
- Hands-on experiences with core cloud services (storage, networking, firewalls, DNS, databases, applications, compute, container services) across Azure Cloud.
- Hands-on experience in programming and scripting technologies like Java, Python, Groovy, Shell, Go,
- Hands-on experience in developing utility scripts and tools using python or shell.
