We are seeking an exceptional Senior Systems Administrator I to join our team in India. What will you do?

• Provide daily operational support and administration of Server Operating Systems, and virtualization environments in private and public cloud.
• Perform system health monitoring, patch management, and backup/restore operations.
• Collaborate with internal teams and vendors for troubleshooting and problem resolution.
• Automate repetitive tasks and contribute to infrastructure-as-code efforts.
• Ensure system compliance with internal policies and industry best practices.
• Support business continuity and disaster recovery strategies.
• Participate in infrastructure improvement projects across global teams.
• Support basic administration and monitoring of AWS infrastructure components (e.g., EC2, S3, IAM).
• Collaborate with cloud teams to ensure proper integration of on-prem infrastructure with AWS services.
• Assist in provisioning AWS resources for internal infrastructure needs or project requirements.
• Monitor AWS usage and participate in identifying opportunities for cost optimization and efficiency.
• Implementing controls to ensure appropriate security, performance, scalability, and monitoring guidelines are achieved for the Active Directory instances.
• Maintain accurate system documentation and change records.
• Communicate effectively with users, peers, and leadership.
• Support the development of quick wins with a focus on growing your understanding of process improvement.
• Implement and support automation scripts (PowerShell, Python, Bash) to streamline operations and reduce manual effort.
• The person will need good verbal and written communication skills. He/she needs to show experience in utilizing various influencing skills and be able to collaborate, communicate and deliver in a global environment.
• Support disaster recovery planning and execution, including regular testing and validation of recovery procedures.
• Analyze system logs and proactively resolve performance and capacity issues.
• Collaborate with business partners on prioritization of incoming work request.
• Analyze data sources and map data elements to key business requirements.
• Complete assignments with direction and communicate progress with a diverse group of team members.
• Ensure compliance with company’s Global IT Policies & Procedures, specifically including Generative AI and Automation

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities.

• 8 years of relevant IT infrastructure experience.
• Comfortable working in a ticket-based, collaborative environment
• Willingness to learn and grow across technology domains.
• Supports day-to-day operations under the guidance of senior staff.
• Hands-on experience in at least one of the following areas. Two or more is considered strong advantage.
  • Windows Server Administration
  • Linux Server Administration (RHEL preferred)
  • Virtualization technologies (VMware, Nutanix AHV, Hyper-V)
  • Enterprise Backup solutions (Veeam, Rubrik or equivalent)
• Familiarity with Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, and Group Policies
• Understanding of patching, monitoring, and system hardening practices
• Scripting experience (PowerShell, Python, Bash) is a plus.
• Working knowledge of Identity Management, Single Sign on and Federated Identity principles
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
• Ability to communicate and work effectively with global teams. 
• Ability to quickly learn systems and tools.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities and meet required timelines.
