Business Insights & Analytics – EWI: Web Analytics Specialist

As Eli Lilly strives to achieve its purpose of making life better for patients, we have been building up our in-house ‘Consumer Experience’ function, which will design and execute next-generation marketing campaigns aimed at informing and educating consumers (or patients) directly.

To support the Consumer marketing teams in their decision-making, a data and analytics team has been set up in Indianapolis (HQ) and Bengaluru (LCCI). This team uses works closely with business stakeholders to enable them to make more informed, data driven decisions. A key area of expansion for the team in 2024 is to help facilitate the implementation of a CDP (customer data platform). As part of this team, We are seeking a highly motivated Web Analytics Specialist to join our team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience with Google Analytics, Adobe Analytics, Adobe Experience Platform, Google Tag Manager and Adobe Data Collection tools. This role will focus on leveraging these technologies to drive data-driven decision making and optimize our online presence.

Core Responsibilities:

  • Manage the processes for capturing, storage, usage and tracking of online activity from web sites and mobile apps
  • Utilize Google/Adobe Analytics to monitor, analyze, and report on website performance and user behavior.
  • Define and implement tagging strategies using AEP.
  • Oversee the data collection process using Adobe Data Collection and Google Tag Manager tools, ensuring accurate and comprehensive data capture.
  • Provide insights and recommendations based on data analysis to improve website performance and user engagement.
  • Develop and modify JavaScript code and Analytics plugins to execute web analytics strategies
  • Maintenance of tags, segments, reports and marketing channel
  • Ensure data privacy and compliance with relevant regulations (e.g., GDPR) when handling customer data.

Required

  • Proven experience with Adobe Analytics, Adobe Experience Platform, and Adobe Data Collection.
  • Proven experience working with Customer Data Platforms (CDP such as AEP) or Tag Management Platform (ADC) or GTM tool is preferred.
  • Experience working on HTML, CSS, and JavaScript
  • Server-side tagging experience is preferred
  • Familiarity with web analytics debugging methodologies – ObservePoint, Omnibug and other Tag Debugger tool and knowledge
  • Prior experience of web analytics and reporting would be preferred

Education:

  • Bachelors or masters in a technology related field would be preferred but is not mandatory

Skills:

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • Detail-oriented with a strong focus on accuracy.
