About This Role
Crew Manager application is designed to manage airline crew operations i.e. crew schedule planning, tracking, managing, adhering to regulatory/contractual requirements, and assisting crew with work/life balance issues during each roster period
Within Crew Manager, crew schedulers can:
- View all rostered activities of one or more Crew members
- Search for crew schedules and modify assignments
- Track flight operations from the perspective of crew coverage and legality
- Create new pairings (trips) and fill unassigned duties
- Recover crew operations in the face of significant schedule disruptions
- Track required schedule change notifications to crew and
- View and update crew member profile information: personal, service, qualifications, and documents
Job Description:
The Crew Manager team is focused on developing and maintaining the CrewManager Application that manages the Crew (Cockpit and Cabin Crew). The team is looking for a Technical Lead, Software Engineering, who will support development of new feature/functions including rewriting small parts of the system, improving system quality/stability to regular maintenance tasks. Applies advanced skills and concepts to oversee large, complex projects. Has excellent understanding of business application. Works with technical staff to understand problems with software and resolve them. Resolves customer complaints with software and responds to suggestions for improvements and enhancements. Demonstrates broad knowledge of technical solutions.
Job Requirement:
- 10 to 15 years of experience in Java/J2EE
- Highly proficient in Core Java and J2EE technologies
- Team Leading Capabilities and Should be able to work with the team and guide them with resolving the problems
- Problem Solving Capabilities
- Good understanding of CI/CD pipelines, Branching & Merging in Team
- Collaborates with technical leaders/architects/developers
- Complete Understanding of relational databases
- Experience in XML, Apache Camel and Tomcat
- Do in-depth vast systems diagnostics and thorough root cause analysis
- Experience with profilers, debuggers, Logging Framework (log4Net)
- Code Quality & Metrics
- Java 8+ knowledge is needed.
- Spring Framework 5
- Have knowledge/experience on Test driven development (TDD) – Junit4+, Mockitos
- Hands on Experience on Soap based and Restful services.
- Strong knowledge on Object Oriented Paradigms
- Experience in Working with Cloud – GCP /AWS preferred
- ORM framework – Hibernate
Behavioral/Good to Have Skills:
- Understanding of Airline domain is an added advantage
- Should be able to demonstrate Good Communication and Interpersonal skills.
- Should be able to take initiatives and proactiveness in leaning new technologies
- Agile methodology
- Knowledge of Sonar and Veracode is a plus
