The Community and Learning team plays a crucial role in realizing this vision by enabling our customers to achieve automation success, at an individual level through upskilling to a programmatic level, improving strategy and execution across the team. We're looking for a Technical Community Manager to join our team and play a pivotal role in fostering a vibrant, knowledge-rich community for automation developers.
This role is essential in ensuring our community serves as a valuable resource for developers, IT professionals, and technical decision-makers using our platform. You'll serve as a bridge between our technical users and other cross-functional teams, facilitating knowledge sharing, driving adoption, and gathering invaluable feedback to shape community strategy and share with product leadership.
Outcomes: What you'll do in this role
In the first 90 days, you will:

  • Conduct a thorough audit of our current technical resources, including the community, documentation, Bot Store, and more. Develop recommendations for filling resource gaps and improving engagement with existing resources.
  • Collaborate with the community operations coordinator to enhance our technical Q&A program to improve response times and quality for technical queries.
  • Attend (first 30 days), co-host (first 60 days) and then independently plan and host a Developer Meetup (by 90 days).
  • Assist in planning and executing our annual community and learning virtual event.
  • Collaborate with Automation Anywhere University team to determine and execute strategies for increasing training consumption among community members.

In your first 6-12 months, you will:

  • Increase engagement among automation developers with developer meetups and other community and learning offerings including Bot Store and Automation Anywhere University. Target increase to be agreed upon after completion of the audit.
  • Review existing badging/recognition system for technical expertise and contributions and make recommendations for enhancements.
  • Work with the Community Marketing & Program Manager to engage MVPs and other community members as you plan technical content and events.
  • Collaborate with community marketing team on customer communications and cross-functional team enablement with the goal of increasing developer engagement and driving product adoption within customer accounts.
  • Collaborate with the product team to create a feedback loop for feature requests and bug reports from the community.

Core Competencies: Who we're looking for

  • Technical Expertise: Strong understanding of the Automation Anywhere, AI, and automation technologies. Automation Anywhere certification is a plus, but not required
  • Community Management: 2+ years experience in managing technical communities or developer relations programs.
  • Content Creation: Ability to create and curate high-quality technical content in multiple formats (blog, video, social media, etc.)
  • Communication Skills: Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to various audiences.
  • Problem-Solving: Adept at identifying and addressing technical issues raised by the community.
