A Technical Product Owner is expected to lead across multiple cross-functional teams to drive initiatives related to new product development. As a Technical Product Owner, you will work closely with our technology leaders, development teams, Product Managers and other Technical Product Owners to drive development efforts for key initiatives involving our panel data sources and related architectures.


Responsibilities

  • Create and manage sprint and release plans for product development initiatives. 
  • Work directly with application development teams to drive requirements and build user stories, acceptance criteria, and software requirements documentation using agile development methodologies.
  • Facilitate agile ceremonies (Standups, Sprint Planning, Retrospective, Demos, Backlog Grooming)
  • Ensure alignment on scope across all stakeholders throughout the lifecycle of product development.
  • Participate in our planning increment process, aligning planned work for the development teams
  • Identify and mitigate blockers, risks, issues, and dependencies that may impact project delivery and escalate to the appropriate stakeholders.
  • Coordinate the creation of release management documentation, follow change management procedures, and review post-deployment KPIs

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in business, systems analysis, or computer science 
  • 5 - 7 years in a dynamic business environment with most experience in technology-focused roles
  • Expert knowledge of Agile development practices
  • Experience working closely with technical teams 
  • A bias for change and the ability to influence a team toward a culture of quality
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills 
  • Strong persuasion, interpersonal and presentation skills
  • Ability to lead across many cross-functional teams, effectively managing multiple competing initiatives
  • Able to listen and quickly distill a situation to recommend a course of action in driving project deliverables
  • Strong technical aptitude and the ability to translate between business and technical needs
  • Extensive experience practicing, applying, and coaching others on Agile development principles.
  • Experience with Atlassian Jira and Confluence tools.
  • Strong time management skills.

Desired Qualifications

  • Familiarity with data architecture, data lakes, data models, and RDBS database technologies 
  • Additional certifications in Product Management, Agile methodologies, or related areas. 
  • Prior experience in Audience Measurement / Media industry
  • Familiarity with Big Data, cloud product architecture, and general software engineering practices.
  • Experience with backend processing systems, system integration and data exchanges 
  • Experience with Pega Systems would be a plus
