About the Role
As a Risk Manager within the Software Products organization, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining a comprehensive risk management framework that supports the organization’s strategic goals. Your role is critical in ensuring that risks across the portfolio are identified, quantified, and mitigated effectively. By working closely with business unit leads and other key stakeholders, you will create transparent risk reports and contingency plans to ensure resilience and successful product delivery in a dynamic, competitive environment.
What You Will Do
- Develop and maintain a comprehensive risk management framework for managing risk across the IC-SP organization, ensuring that risks are categorized, tracked and reported.
- Provide the metrics and tools needed to quantify risks, making them measurable and trackable across the portfolio. Develop dashboards and reporting mechanisms that give leadership a clear picture of risk exposure and mitigation progress.
- Develop and implement crisis management strategies, ensuring rapid response to unforeseen risks, minimizing business disruption, and coordinating cross-functional teams to mitigate impact.
- Ensure that the Software Products organization has contingency plans in place to respond to significant disruptions, ensuring resilience at both the product and organization levels.
- Create risk mitigation plans working closely with the BU leads and other stakeholders.
- Monitor, create transparency and track the defined mitigation plans along with the portfolio management team to ensure timely releases of product roadmaps, including proactive identification of delays in delivery, market shifts, and competitive pressures.
- Ensure portfolio-level risks are aligned with strategic goals, minimizing any potential negative impact on achieving business objectives.
- Track external risks (market conditions, customer trends) that may affect current product performance and portfolio alignment.
What You Need to Be Successful
- Bachelor degree in engineering (Information Technology, Computer Science) or Business Administration or appropriate graduation
- Project management experience including handling external and internal risks using data driven risk framework and methodologies
- Project Management experience with software products/solutions
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Global mindset, teamwork in a multi-location team, enterprise approach.
- Ability to understand complex systems, to break down and structure into reasonable parts so dependencies become visible, describable, and thus manageable.
- Proven and effective communication, analytical, judgment, initiative, and execution skills.
- Automotive experience
Bonus Points if You Have
- Certified Project Management Professional (e.g. PMP).
- Risk Management Certifications is a plus
