About the Team

The Europe and Emerging Markets Division is committed to delivering the best experience to our external and internal users. Our primary responsibility is to ensure everyone is aware of and takes advantage of the trading opportunities provided by IG in the EU and EM regions.

Our vision is to become the leading disruptive multi-product provider in the EU and EM.

The team operates from London, Kraków, and Bengaluru. We are a close-knit, dedicated group with varying levels of experience, and we are excited to welcome our newest team member!

What you’ll do

You’ll be expected to work closely with various teams to ensure that our trading applications are best in class. We collaborate with multiple applications, third-party integrations, backend and frontend systems, UX, compliance, and pen testers. As an engineering manager, you will:

• Lead and mentor a team of engineers, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and collaboration, while ensuring timely delivery of high-quality projects.

• Drive technical excellence by promoting best practices in software development, including code reviews, testing, and documentation, and overseeing CI/CD pipelines for efficient deployments.

• Leverage your expertise in cloud infrastructure to optimize performance, scalability, and security, ensuring our systems are robust and reliable. (fitness functions)

• Work closely with Tech product managers to align engineering efforts with business goals and user needs, managing third-party vendor relationships and integrations to ensure seamless operation and high-quality user experiences.

Your role will be crucial in ensuring our applications remain competitive and provide the best possible experience for our users.

What you’ll need for this role

• Over 15 years of experience in technology.

• Hands-on expertise in various tech stacks including C++, Java , MT5, Spring, React, JavaScript, Angular, and more.

• Extensive experience in CD.

• Proficient in cloud infrastructure.

• Skilled in system and component-level design.

• Thorough understanding of design patterns and refactoring legacy code.

•  Excel in XP, TDD, CI, and Pair Programming.
