Example Responsibilities

    • Content Creation: Develop, write, and maintain technical documentation, including integration guides, manuals, tutorials, API documentation, and customer-facing knowledge base.
    • Research: Conduct thorough research on products, services, technology, and concepts to produce accurate and comprehensive content.
    • Collaboration: Work closely with engineering, product management, and customer support teams to understand product details and create documentation that meets the needs of developers working for our customers.
    • Editing and Proofreading: Review and edit content created by our developers for consumption by our customers’ developers to ensure clarity, consistency, and accuracy.
    • Technical Understanding: Understand the target audience and tailor content to their level of technical understanding, ensuring it is clear and useful.
    • Continuous Improvement: Stay updated with the latest industry trends, technologies, and best practices in technical writing and apply this knowledge to improve documentation processes.

Experience and Qualifications 

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Technical Writing, English, Communications, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • Experience: 6+ experience as a technical writer for SaaS solutions for B2B / B2B2C setups.
  • Skills:
    • Excellent writing, editing, and communication skills in English.
    • Ability to understand complex technical concepts and translate them into clear and concise documentation.
    • Strong understanding of software development and programming languages.
    • Knowledge in server-side as well as web frontend technologies. Experience in native mobile technologies (iOS; Android) is a big plus.
    • Ability to maintain documentation in markup languages such as HTML, XML, and Markdown.
    • Ability to read and adapt OpenAPI specs.
    • Experience with version control systems like Git.

Great to have Experience and Qualifications 

  • Experience with Agile/Scrum development processes.
  • Proficiency in using documentation tools such as Adobe FrameMaker, Microsoft Word, MadCap Flare, or similar.
