We are looking for an enthusiastic, technical, and driven Technical Writer to join the DevOps core writing team in India to help maintain and update developer-oriented documentation for our industry-leading DevOps solution. The successful candidate should be able to build relationships, feel comfortable proactively seeking answers, and enjoys solving problems. 

As a Technical Writer at JFrog you will…

  • Write clear, structured, concise, and high-quality end-user documentation, make sure content is up-to-date with new feature releases, and adheres to established style guidelines
  • Collaborate closely with Product Managers, Developers, and other Subject Matter Experts to understand requirements, create outlines, and execute updates
  • Be able to understand and communicate the value of specific products and features, and produce technical documentation to support the installation and configuration of JFrog products 
  • Track features and enhancements using Jira and other tools, identifying requirements and writing new content to accompany releases

To be a Technical Writer at JFrog you need…

  • 3+ years of experience as a Technical Writer in an enterprise software development environment
  • English at native level
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build and maintain key relationships
  • Excellent writing skills with an ability to structure content effectively and write clearly
  • Ability to independently install features, work with a CLI, use APIs, and document for a developer-oriented audience
  • Ability to work independently with a strong sense of responsibility and commitment
  • Capable of working accurately and quickly with attention to detail
  • Ability to multitask and meet tight deadlines, doing what’s required to release content on time, including occasionally jumping online at less conventional times

Advantages

  • Experience with topic-based authoring and content reuse
  • Knowledge of DevOps principles, processes, and tools
  • Experience with REST APIs, Open API 3.0 (Swagger), or Bash scripting / Linux 
  • Technical knowledge or experience such as coding, HTML, networking, working in public clouds (GCP, AWS, Azure), working in a CLI / console 
  • Experience with Gitbook, working with GitHub and docs-as-code
  • Experience with tools including Paligo, Fluid Topics, Figma, Jira, Google Docs
