Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Technical Writer to join our team in Pune, India. In this role, you will be responsible for creating high-quality documentation that supports the release and adoption of software products. Your expertise will help drive innovation in content formats and ensure clarity and consistency in technical documentation.
Responsibilities
- Use superior writing skills and attention to detail to conceptualize, plan, develop, and write high-quality documentation.
- Design, draft, and edit technical and process documentation.
- Support software release processes and facilitate adoption through comprehensive documentation.
- Drive innovation in content formats and information architecture, incorporating rich media.
- Translate complex technical terms into clear, understandable information for diverse audiences.
- Collaborate with software developers to ensure consistency in terminology and documentation.
Qualifications
- 5-10 years of experience in technical writing, with specific experience in software documentation and online publishing.
- Reside in Pune, India, and possess excellent English writing skills.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field.
- Strong technical aptitude and hands-on experience with software products.
- Proven technical writing and editing skills with a superior command of the English language.
- Understanding of topic-based authoring and reusable information architecture.
- Experience with Confluence and Markdown formats.
- Familiarity with API tools such as Swagger and Postman.
- Experience with agile software development processes and tools, such as JIRA.
- Experience with video creation and learning management systems is a plus.
