Your role in the Team
There are two key areas of responsibility:
PRIMARY: Enterprise Architecture & Corporate Memory
Own, define & evolve the IG Enterprise Architecture libraries, catalogues & services. Ensure that the services are suitable to guide the organisation & provide a comprehensive view of the IT estate. Engage the key stakeholders to maintain & evolve the service offering.
SECONDARY: Enterprise Services Solution Architecture
Provide Solution Architecture services to the Enterprise service teams (Finance, HR, Risk, Procurement & Service Management). Creating High Level Designs & providing guidance.
What you’ll do
Enterprise Architecture

• Maintain & evolve a comprehensive enterprise IT architecture model, representative of the current, transitional and target states of the information, applications and technology portfolio. Maintain alignment with the business architecture and scope of change initiatives in the short, medium and long term.

• Define, maintain & evolve the Enterprise Architecture models – Capabilities, Services, etc – and their mapping to the domain architectures & IT application landscape, aligned to the overarching IG reference model.

• Collaborate with the key stakeholders and ensure that the Enterprise Architecture models & associated artefacts are accurate, widely agreed, well understood and adopted.

• Ensure that the tooling to support the Enterprise Architecture fully supports the definition, extension, evolution & usage / application of the Enterprise Architecture models. Define & deliver on the roadmap for the Enterprise Architecture tooling.

• Ensure that the health, suitability, viability, and overall status of the IG application estate is well understood with up-to-date data. Own & evolve the process & tooling for defining & gathering the necessary metrics, liaising to ensure that the information / data is targeted and applied to further evolve the IG estate.

• Ensure that the Architecture Governance processes & procedures are clearly defined and consistently applied

• Establish and maintain relationships with current and potential providers of information, applications and technology products and services to maintain an understanding of their product/service capabilities and roadmaps.
   

Solution Architecture

• Work with Enterprise stakeholders (HR, Risk, Finance, etc) to provide Solution Architecture support for their technology platforms. Support the Engineering teams & Project Managers in the delivery of projects in the Enterprise domain.

• Liaise closely with stakeholders (business & technical) to provide High Level Designs, identifying all non-functional requirements & ensuring they are addressed in the designs developed.

• Assist with planning & estimating for delivery projects & leading the selection process for software / infrastructure required.

• Liaising with the technical communities to ensure that all design / implementation risks are identified & addressed, and that Architecture approval is obtained wherever necessary.

What you will need for the role

• Bachelor’s degree, preferably in Information Systems, Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering or Business Administration or relevant knowledge and industry experience.

• Experience in Enterprise Architecture, creating the architecture models and evolving the EA offering

• Experience with EA modelling tools (Sparx, Ardoq, ServiceNow, etc)

• Experience as a Solution Architect, creating High Level Desings & detailed designs and supporting delivery teams through close collaboration

• Experience with Enterprise Architecture tooling / products.

• Experience defining & running Architectural Governance

• Demonstrable experience of working effectively within a matrix organisation that encompasses employees, specialist contractors and 3rd party suppliers and partners.

• Experience of working in fast paced, high growth, high volume, multi-channel customer focused organisations, ideally in the financial and IT industry.

• Experience of helping organisations leverage information and technology to take advantage of the opportunities and overcome the challenges of multi-region, multi-channel, multi-brand digital products and services.

• Ability to think and act strategically but also to operate and implement change tactically when required, dealing effectively with ambiguity and managing changeable business priorities.

• Excellent written and verbal communication and presentation skills, particularly adept at simplifying and articulating complex topics and employing a wide range of communication styles to engage with all levels of the organisation.
