We are looking for Test Engineer (LabVIEW) in Bangalore
This position focuses on LabVIEW development and electrical design within the Test Engineering department. The role entails designing, developing, and implementing cost-effective testing methods and troubleshooting systems and equipment.
Job Description:
The LabVIEW Development Engineer will be responsible for creating test applications for Automatic Test Equipment (ATE) using NI LabVIEW & NI Test Stand. Additionally, they will need to understand electrical/electronic circuits, create ATE electrical interconnect diagrams, and generate electrical wire run lists. Participation in software detail code reviews is also a key aspect of this role.
Roles & Responsibilities:
- Partner with Test Development Engineers, Engineering Managers, and leadership to provide end to end development of TestStand/LabVIEW solutions for custom functional test systems including, writing requirements; test system development and integration; acceptance testing and production sustaining & support.
- Write LabVIEW code with expected standards, develop & debug, and design user interfaces.
- Working with teams to get Design, Code, and Usability reviews.
- Participating in project meetings with management and other team members.
- Analyze existing test solution (Electrical/Software) and understand the Test stand design for maintenance or updating/upgrading test software
- This is a collaborative opportunity where you will work cross-functionally with Design Engineering, Manufacturing, Service and External vendors
- This role is suited for hands-on, problem solver engineers who are interested to work in a fast-paced environment, high-volume environment, and learn from a strong engineering team while adding value to the assigned projects
Qualification:
- Master/bachelor’s degree in electrical & Electronics/Communication Engineering with 3-6 years of industry experience in designing complex test applications for the state-of-the-art Automated Test Equipment (ATE) using NI LabVIEW & NI TestStand software.
- Understand electrical/electronic circuits, create ATE electrical interconnect diagrams, and generate electrical wire run lists.
- Key involvement in pioneering hands-on technical projects as both an individual contributor and as a team
- Familiarity with adjacent engineering disciplines is a bonus i.e., Electrical, Mechanical Engineering, etc.
- Strong technical communication (verbal, written, presentation) skills
Experience building effective and scalable and empowering processes for the following activities: system design; design documentation; manufacturing documentation; operations documentation; design reviews; engineering change management; safety review is desired. - Capacity to deal with a high workload and deadline pressure & ability to work extended hours as necessary to meet deadlines
- CLD or CLA certification is preferred.
- Experience with Configuration Management and source version control systems such as SVN, Perforce
