This Test Engineer will be focusing on testing efforts for Lithium-ion battery, related products, and dealing with prototype builds through product launch phase. Including testing Hardware and Software features and complete battery systems.

Responsibilities

  • Working with other Engineers and technicians on building and testing Lithium-ion batteries.
  • Testing prototype and other batteries including specific hardware and software features.
  • Running Lithium-ion battery testing to validate systems.
  • Writing and following test procedures.
  • Analyzing test Data
  • Writing test reports and procedures
  • Making presentations when required
  • Preforming certification testing – i.e., UNDOT & UL and other electrical testing

Skills & Qualifications

  • 2 to 4 Years of related experience
  • 4-year BS in electrical engineering or related discipline.
  • Has advanced troubleshooting skills and able to resolve issues with equipment and batteries.
  • Familiar with using DAQ’s, power supplies, DC loads, battery cycling equipment (Arbin, Bitrode, & NHR)
  • Use of hand tools, milling machines, drill presses and as well as electronic rework station equipment.
  • Use of solder machines, oscilloscopes, and DMM, etc.…
  • Knowledge of CAN interface.
  • Familiarity with embedded firmware devices.
  • Full understating of mechanical and electrical schematics.
  • Creating test procedures, following test procedures, and work with others on how to follow test procedures.
  • Full understanding of the DFMEA process, written DVP’s and followed test called out from DVP.
  • Must be capable of using MS office to create test logs, and reports and presentations.
  • Must be able to work with only general instruction and minimal supervision.
  • Team oriented, able to communicate well & have good interpersonal skills.
  • Familiarity with embedded C and creation of test programs to ensure compliance with product requirements.
  • Ability to create custom test environments for product testing.
