We are looking for a dynamic and hands-on Test Manager with a strong background in test automation and quality assurance to lead and elevate our testing efforts. This role demands a technical leader who not only defines and drives test automation strategies but also actively participates in developing and optimizing automated test frameworks. The ideal candidate will be deeply involved in designing, implementing, and maintaining automated testing solutions, ensuring that our testing processes are robust, scalable, and aligned with our business goals.

As a key contributor, this role requires a blend of strategic thinking, leadership, and hands-on execution, working closely with cross-functional teams to enhance test coverage, improve release cycles, and ensure software quality at every stage of development. The Test Manager will be responsible for setting best practices, mentoring the team, and continuously refining automation frameworks to maximize efficiency and reliability. A strong understanding of modern testing tools, CI/CD pipelines, and test-driven development is essential, as is the ability to adapt to evolving technologies and business requirements.

Key Responsibilities

Test Strategy & Leadership

 • Define Vision & Strategy: Develop and enforce a forward-thinking test automation strategy that aligns directly with business objectives and drives quality improvements.

 • Set Standards: Establish and continuously refine industry-leading best practices for automation, CI/CD integration, TDD, and BDD, ensuring rigorous quality benchmarks.

 • Lead by Example: Actively participate in automation development, demonstrating hands-on expertise while guiding and inspiring your team.

 • Team Empowerment: Mentor and empower testers and automation engineers, fostering a culture of continuous learning, innovation, and accountability.

Automation Development & Execution

 • Architect Robust Frameworks: Design, build, and sustain scalable automated test frameworks using cutting-edge tools like Selenium, Cypress, Playwright, Appium, JUnit, and TestNG and others.

 • Seamless Integration: Embed automated tests into CI/CD pipelines (e.g., Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI/CD) to streamline releases and maintain high-quality standards.

 • Innovative Testing Solutions: Drive the development of automation scripts for performance, security, and API testing to cover all critical dimensions of software quality.

 • Proactive Optimization: Regularly review and update automation suites to ensure they adapt to evolving technologies and project needs.

Quality Assurance & Collaboration

 • Cross-Functional Leadership: Collaborate closely with development, product, and DevOps teams to identify testing gaps and enhance application reliability from design to deployment.

 • Ensure Quality Compliance: Lead comprehensive code reviews and enforce adherence to best practices, ensuring consistency and excellence in all testing efforts.

 • Data-Driven Improvements: Utilize analytics from test executions to identify trends, drive continuous improvements, and optimize test coverage and performance.

 • Stakeholder Engagement: Provide clear, actionable insights and performance metrics to stakeholders, influencing strategic decisions and process enhancements.

Defect Management & Reporting

 • Rigorous Defect Oversight: Take charge of defect tracking and resolution using tools like JIRA, ensuring prompt and effective remediation of issues.

 • Insightful Reporting: Deliver concise, data-rich reports and key performance indicators (KPIs) to senior management, driving informed decisions and proactive improvements.

 • Root Cause Analysis: Lead thorough investigations into defects, fostering a culture of accountability and continuous learning.

 • Process Enhancement: Constantly refine defect management processes to reduce reoccurrence and boost overall product quality.

Required Skills & Experience

 • Proven Test Automation Expertise: Over 7+ years of hands-on experience in test automation, showcasing a deep understanding of designing and executing robust automated testing strategies.

 • Leadership in Action: Minimum of 2 years in a managerial role where you successfully led teams in the delivery of high-quality automation solutions, demonstrating a balance of strategic vision and hands-on technical involvement.

 • Advanced Technical Proficiency:

   - Mastery of industry-leading automation frameworks such as Selenium, Cypress, Playwright, Mabl, and Appium.

   - Strong programming skills in languages including Java, JavaScript, and Python, with a proven track record of developing maintainable, efficient test scripts.

 • CI/CD Integration Experience: Extensive experience integrating automated tests into CI/CD pipelines using tools like Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or GitLab CI/CD, ensuring seamless and continuous delivery.

 • API and Data Testing Skills: Expertise in API testing using tools like Postman, RestAssured, or Karate, combined with hands-on experience in data validation and testing to support data integrity and performance requirements.

 • Quality Assurance Acumen:

   - A thorough understanding of TDD and BDD methodologies, applying them to enhance test coverage and software reliability.

   - Ability to conduct detailed code reviews, enforce quality standards, and continuously refine test processes based on data-driven insights.

 • Analytical and Problem-Solving Abilities: Proven capability to diagnose complex issues, perform root cause analysis, and implement effective solutions that enhance test efficiency and product quality.

 • Effective Communication: Strong written and verbal communication skills, enabling you to translate technical details into actionable insights for stakeholders and to lead cross-functional teams effectively.

 • Adaptability and Continuous Learning: Demonstrated commitment to staying current with emerging technologies and testing methodologies, ensuring that automation strategies remain innovative and effective in a dynamic tech landscape.

Preferred Qualifications

 • Cloud & Container Expertise: Demonstrated experience working with cloud-based testing platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) and container orchestration tools such as Docker and Kubernetes, enabling scalable and efficient test environments.

 • Advanced Security & Performance Testing: Prior experience with security testing tools and performance testing frameworks, ensuring robust and resilient applications in production environments.

 • Agile & DevOps Integration: A strong background in agile methodologies and DevOps practices, including experience in continuous integration, continuous delivery, and infrastructure as code to enhance testing efficiency and responsiveness.

 • Cross-Platform & Mobile Testing: Experience with mobile testing frameworks and cross-platform automation, ensuring high-quality user experiences across diverse devices and operating systems.

 • Cutting-Edge Tool Proficiency: Familiarity with emerging testing technologies and frameworks, such as AI-driven testing tools or advanced analytics platforms, to push the boundaries of automation and quality assurance.

 • Data Analytics & Reporting: Ability to leverage data analytics tools to extract insights from test data, optimize testing processes, and drive proactive quality improvements.

 • Industry Certifications: ISTQB, CSTE, or equivalent testing certifications are a plus, showcasing a commitment to professional excellence and continuous learning.

 • Global & Multi-Cultural Experience: Experience working in a global or multi-cultural environment, enabling effective collaboration across geographically dispersed teams and diverse stakeholder groups.
