Responsibilities
- Oversee and manage the end-to-end trade lifecycle, including trade capture, confirmation, settlement, and reconciliation.
- Lead and mentor a team of trade operations associates, fostering a culture of excellence and continuous improvement.
- Collaborate with internal teams such as Risk, Compliance, and Technology to ensure efficient trade processing and mitigate operational risks.
- Develop and implement process improvements to enhance operational efficiency and accuracy.
- Liaise with external counterparties and service providers to resolve trade discrepancies and ensure timely settlements.
- Prepare and present regular reports on trade operations performance and key metrics to senior management.
- Ensure that all incoming counterparty settlement requests are handled by the team within a pre-agreed timeframe.
- Work in concert with Trading Desk, Product, and Customer Success teams to understand and deliver on their expectations with regards to serving clients.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business Administration, or a related field
- 10+ years of experience in a trading firm, hedge fund or Investment Bank
- Proven leadership abilities and experience managing a team.
- Previous experience working in fast-paced, high-pressure environment
- Strong knowledge of trading platforms, settlement processes, and market infrastructure.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively across departments.
- Desire to become an expert on digital assets such as Bitcoin and Ethereum
