Job Overview:
UX Copywriter will be responsible for crafting clear, concise, and engaging copy that enhances the user experience of digital products. Their role is to ensure that every piece of text—from buttons and menus to error messages and onboarding flows—guides users smoothly and intuitively.
Key Responsibilities:
Writing UX Copy Writing:
- Micro copy for UI elements (buttons, tooltips, error messages, etc.).
- Developing clear and engaging UX writing for websites, apps, and digital products.
- Collaborating with UX designers, product managers, and developers to align copy with user needs.
- Conducting user research and A/B testing to refine messaging.
- Creating tone and voice guidelines to maintain brand consistency.
- Ensuring accessibility and inclusivity in copy.
- Writing onboarding flows, in-app messages, and instructional content.
Research & User-Centered Content Strategy:
- Work closely with UX designers, product managers, developers, and marketers to ensure a consistent and cohesive user experience.
- Align copy with the overall brand voice and tone while adapting it for different touchpoints.
- Participate in design sprints, wireframing, and prototyping to provide early input on UX copy.
Skills and Qualifications:
- Computer Science, or a related field.
- At least 3 to 4 years of relevant experience as a UX Copy writer.
- Familiarity with design tools like Figma, Sketch, or Adobe XD for writing within prototypes.
- Strong communication skills to defend UX writing choices based on research and best practices.
- Ability to create content that aligns with information architecture and usability best practices.
- Proficiency in grammar, punctuation, and storytelling.
- Self-motivated, analytical, detail-oriented, and organized, with a commitment to excellence.
- Experience in the financial services sector is a plus.
