Digital Design Lead
We are seeking a Lead Digital Designer to work alongside the design, development and product teams to deliver delightful user experiences that drive measurable business impact. In this role, you will be instrumental in shaping the visual and interactive aspects of our digital products (web, mobile and email), ensuring they align with our brand guidelines. You will drive innovation and excellence in design practices while collaborating closely with product managers, marketers and developers to create user-centered solutions.
Principal Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement design strategies that enhance user experience across digital platforms (web, mobile and email), ensuring consistency and quality.
- Oversee the entire design lifecycle, from ideation, user research, testing, customer journey mapping to prototyping and final delivery of digital products. Leverage existing data and customer trends to inform UX recommendations
- Proactively make strategic recommendations that will advance our experiences. Evaluate and identify UX improvements within existing products/platforms and provide design solutions. Design modern and efficient digital products that address unique user challenges and workflows that support our customer experience.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including product management, marketing, and engineering to ensure alignment on project goals and timelines. Work closely with the technical team to implement UI solutions and ensure the technology executes on the vision and requirements.
- Utilize data-driven insights to inform design decisions and iterate on existing designs effectively.
- Present design concepts and strategies to stakeholders, articulating the rationale behind design choices and their impact on the user experience.
- Work with our design practice and approach forward by nurturing new ideas from concept to execution along with your creative peers
- Foster a healthy culture of design criticism and learning by having an active voice in cross-functional design reviews.
- Create wireframes and prototypes, lead user testing exercises and document UX design recommendations
- Contribute to presentations, delivering strategic UX recommendations with confidence and conviction
Required Qualifications:
- 6+ years of experience in producing UX Design work and presenting design solutions based on business strategy and user needs
- 5+ years of working knowledge of UX tools such as, Sketch, Figma, Adobe and UserZoom
- 4+ years of experience in ecommerce digital products design (website, mobile app, email)
- Strong portfolio demonstrating experience leading and delivering comprehensive and elegant end-to-end solutions within a complex business environment, similar to, if not within, the healthcare or insurance services industry
- Ability to clearly articulate goals and UX decisions and know how to use data and research to back up your work.
- Ability to interpret, translate, and extend existing brand guidelines in the context of developing creative assets.
- Experience working in ad agency or corporate environment and highly knowledgeable about new and emerging digital technologies and trends
- Experience in user testing and prototyping
- Strengths: User-centered design, UI design, and visual design, communication
- Front-end development skills are a plus
- Ability to work independently, under tight deadlines and manage multiple task
Education
Bachelors or Masters Degree preferred – equivalent experience strongly considered
