Job Description
Are you a dynamic and visionary UX Designer with a passion for transforming user experiences in the B2B SaaS landscape? BlueOptima is seeking an exceptional UX Designer to elevate our flagship product, Developer Analytics, and empower software development organisations to achieve peak performance. In this influential role, you will craft a clear strategic direction, shape the user experience vision aligned with business objectives, collaborate with stakeholders, inspire and guide cross-functional teams to achieve common goals, drive innovation, make a lasting impact, and redefine the future of software development performance optimization.
As part of the Product & UX Team you will work on plugin development and user journeys across various marketplaces, including version control systems and task trackers. We seek a UX Designer with experience in B2B SaaS products and a strong knowledge of the developer experience, who can deliver high-quality user-centred solutions, evaluate current experiences, and contribute to delivering value for the company. This role will report to the Senior UX Designer, will be a critical player in the UX team, and will collaborate closely with the Customer-Facing Teams, Engineering, and Product Management team.
Your team:
The UX team is responsible for creating human-centred experiences by anticipating user needs and exceeding their expectations in design, quality, and efficiency to set industry standards within software team analytics.
You will work hand-to-hand in a diverse team with members around our offices. We are looking for a talented designer with great communication skills who will focus on end-to-end experience and who will drive collaboration with the product and engineering teams to deliver the best experiences to our users.
As Designers in BlueOptima, we are the product design experts and are user advocates. We drive for innovation, create holistic experiences, and increase the product’s value by bringing the outside into the design.
Responsibilities and Tasks:
- Bridge the gap between research insights and user-driven solutions.
- Build high-quality solutions to known user problems
- Handoff clear and documented solutions to enable developers to understand what problem they are solving for the users.
- Identify opportunities to enhance our user’s experiences to get a job done
- Test solutions to verify usability and ability to solve a user’s problem
- Drive initiatives to help users adopt new habits and behaviours to achieve their goals
- Contribute to our weekly design critiques
- Set up knowledge-sharing processes that promote collaboration and training (i.e. Facilitate brainstorming meetings, design and run workshops, etc.)
- Follow and identify key industry and technology trends.
Qualifications
What You Need to Succeed at BlueOptima?
Experience & Background:
- 3+ years of experience working as a Product Designer or UX Designer.
Design Process & User-Centered Approach:
- Understanding of end-to-end design process, from ideation to launch.
- Proven experience mapping user journeys, identifying pain points and opportunities, and delivering optimal solutions for users.
- Ability to validate hypotheses, evaluate deliverables' impact, and iterate based on objectives and data insights.
- A proactive, empathic, and data-driven approach to problems and opportunities.
Collaboration & Communication:
- Experience in influencing and advocating for the user/customer to non-design audiences, such as Product or Technology Managers.
- Good communication skills, understanding of storytelling and presentation techniques.
- Ability to take ownership, creatively solve problems, and proactively contribute to the objectives of the business.
Research & Validation:
- Experience designing and running user research and testing sessions.
- Experience with workshop facilitation and design sprints.
Tools & Technical Collaboration:
- Experience designing user interfaces and creating interactive prototypes using Figma.
- Ability to collaborate with engineers to troubleshoot any technical issues that arise, ensuring that the product meets performance and quality standards.
