This position requires an experienced professional able to develop relationships within the lines of business and coordinate with category sourcing leads globally, where required. The role requires excellent analytical skills and prior project management experience to perform program management activities in support of supplier due diligence, engagement scoping, demand challenging, techno-commercial evaluation through right market intelligence and benchmarking, contract and commercial negotiations with the right risk management principles/ framework agreed within the Bank and finally resulting into on-boarding.
Job Summary
As a Vice President within our sourcing team, you will be leading a team of sourcing professionals overseeing activities and book of work. Your role will involve developing the team through coaching and mentoring on activities like applying negotiating tactics, ensuring appropriate contractual coverage and gathering market intelligence. This role provides an opportunity to influence and shape the sourcing strategy of our organization.
Job responsibilities:

  • Identify qualified candidate suppliers capable of meeting JPMC requirements by carrying out all in depth supplier due diligence as required
  • Work with clients and other stakeholders to define requirements for a sourcing transaction
  • Design and execute the competitive process for each sourcing transaction to obtain the best overall value-added solutions from candidate suppliers
  • Evaluate competitive offerings from suppliers and develop and present sourcing options that meet JPMC's business requirements
  • Lead the negotiations to establish commercial terms and lead the contract develop process through contract approval and execution
  • Maintain compliance with all policy and procedural guidelines
  • Partner closely with internal JPMC legal, risk and finance teams towards the successful completion of intricate negotiations and initiatives
  • Ensure all the selected suppliers are compliant with SLA's (Service Level Agreements) through collaboration with our internal partners and client teams
  • Lead the development and execution of category management strategies for significant sourcing transactions and work with the sourcing managers in India to ensure low value, low risk transactions are efficiently supported.


Required qualifications, capabilities and skills:

  • Extensive familiarity with sourcing categories like global ground transportation, corporate insurance, travel services categories.
  • Familiarity with sourcing categories like Marketing & Communication, auto finance, mortgage, valuation, flood detection, which would be needed to oversee team members as team lead.
  • Ability to lead and influence execute level stakeholders
  • Determination to drive breakthrough thinking and continuous improvement; sets a personal example
  • Commercial skill/strategic negotiation ability, including ability to understand value streams, cost drivers and how to break down cost structures
  • Ability to drive change with management direction but without having to be prescribed to
  • Proficiency to develop, plan and execute projects and create remediation plans and actions with timely updates to management


Preferred qualifications, capabilities and skills:

  • Ability to communicate effectively with internal sourcing and client stakeholders
  • Expertise to understand business strategy and build plans to support it
  • Knowledge of business risk factors and business savvy to minimize risk appropriately and communicate acceptance of risk factors when required.
  • Strong understanding and proven experience in executing and amending complex legal Master Agreements and Service levels
