As a Vice President - Product Owner in the Mortgage Solutions team, you'll participate in projects and provide support for various initiatives and any associated business in Mortgages. In this integral role within the Mortgage Solutions team, you will be responsible for defining and delivering key aspects of the Mortgage Center roadmap, including innovative mortgage products and operations-facing technologies. You will act as a conduit between Front office, Operations and Technology teams, interfacing with line staff, mortgage specialists, team leads, operations managers, business partners and senior leadership across both front and back offices. You will have the opportunity to promote improvements from concept through implementation, with an ability to identify opportunities, design solutions that marry technology and process, and gain buy-in from stakeholders. Your strong cross-functional collaboration and communication skills will be essential for success in this role.
Job responsibilities

  • Own end-to-end product development, seeking new technologies and aligning with strategic vision.
  • Practice agile methodologies to prioritize quality and enhance user adoption.
  • Define and execute the strategic product roadmap, adapting through continuous discovery.
  • Align financial goals with business objectives, managing budget and forecast.
  • Drive product vision with business, client, and tech changes, using data for decision-making.
  • Manage and prioritize backlogs, representing stakeholders in developing impactful features.
  • Lead conversations between Business and Technology to determine feature requirements.
  • Develop partnerships with teams to meet project milestones and ensure testing is completed.
  • Reinforce agile best practices, including backlog grooming and sprint planning.
  • Promote growth and leadership opportunities for team members and direct reports.
  • Monitor industry trends to ensure product competitiveness and innovation.


Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills

  • 8+ years of experience in Product Management, People Management, business operations, business process improvement, project execution, compliance or technology roles
  • Self-starter with the ability to solve problems creatively and deliver results while working in a dynamic, collaborative, and challenging environment
  • Strong project management skills, and ability to collaborate with multiple points of contact in order to achieve results
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to articulate and sell a vision
  • Ability to effectively communicate across all levels, including the executive presence to interact with and influence Senior Management
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools with particular skill with Excel, PowerPoint and VISIO.
  • BS/BA or equivalent


Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills

  • Experience with the Mortgage industry
  • Strong interest in new technology and trends with the ability to relate concepts to practical application
  • 4+ years of experience working within agile project teams, preferably as a Product Owner
  • CSPO, CSM, PMP certified
