Airbus Central Innovation is an innovation unit part of Disruptive R&T that is responsible for identifying technology trends, planning and acting for startup adoption, streaming, testing, and validating all new projects to incubate future potential projects, and coordinating corporate innovation while providing the right vision for it.

Airbus Central Innovation prepares and supports all data, presentations, and valuations for the Airbus community to ensure the right level of transparency and impact while reporting to Ex Comm through the proper governance managed at the level of the Ho Disruptive R&T & its operations.

We define and work towards clear business objectives, revenue growth, and evolution in ways of working at Airbus, focusing on whatever needs to be done for success. The required impact is the constant, and how it’s achieved is the variable — not the other way around.

At Airbus Central Innovation, our mission is to:

• Explore technology trends across geographies to support Airbus future challenges while detecting the right startups, SMEs, and companies to partner with.

• Understand the essence of the needs of our company that could be addressed by the startup world with the objective of speeding up solution-making and generating a positive impact for Airbus.

• Anticipate trends that could disrupt the future of the aerospace industry and evaluate them to identify and incubate potential new businesses preparing to be accelerated within 1X (Disruptive R&T).

• Support and guide the innovation internal and external ecosystem in its development with the objective of increasing the impact (Value, ROI, SDG …) and visibility of Airbus as an innovative & sustainable company.

• Develop and ensure the innovation strategy across the divisions with the support of the right stakeholders.

Job Objectives Facilitate and leverage technology scouting and intelligence by gathering and evaluating information in the field of science and technology against either a pull from defined scouting needs or providing a push from external opportunities. Countries to cover: India.

Responsibilities

• Management of a clustered portfolio of technologies.

• Ensure a clear and robust definition of needs agreed with internal stakeholders.

• Identify and manage external companies.

• Identify partners with relevant capabilities with the support of subject experts.

• Ensure network and strong relationships with key research institutions and all relevant key players in the technical domain.

• Prepare reports addressing scouting and customer needs, and prepare technology trends reports.

• Facilitate project initiation, monitoring, and closure in coordination with internal customers and R&T Support.

• Comply with Airbus India management policies.

• Knowledge of the company, products, services, and operations.

• Awareness of Airbus business and technology priorities.

• Knowledge of Airbus R&T and innovation ecosystem.

• Passion for new technologies and technical acumen to evaluate their relevance.

• Advanced degree in aerospace/engineering background.

• Fluent in English with excellent communication (writing/verbal).
