Position Overview

As a member of the Real Estate, Strategy & Insights team the Workplace Insights Specialist will contribute to a world-class analytics function that delivers actionable insights to drive better business outcomes. The Workplace Insights Specialist work will support data driven decision making through analytics and insights about the Autodesk workplace and utilization of our buildings and spaces. The Workplace Insights Specialist will strive to improve and deliver better automation and insights through easy to use and intuitive data tools, dashboards, and AI solutions.

Responsibilities

• Create reports and dashboards for the Workplace & Travel functions and provide analytics and insights to better utilize our resources and support better decision making

• Maintain Workplace & Travel Data Dashboards and Reporting. Regularly reviews data to ensure accuracy, alignment and proper connectivity to source systems that feed the Workplace & Travel Data Lake. Works with the ESE team to address any connectivity or data consistency issues

• Utilizes GenAI to create predictive and prescriptive outcomes for the Workplace & Travel business

• Regularly reviews data with Workplace & Travel stakeholders to ensure their understanding of the data, listen to feedback and enhancement requests, and works with leadership to prioritize enhancement and changes to dashboards and reports

• Answer business requests for Ad-Hoc reporting across the Workplace & Travel team

• Creates and maintains data lineage and a proper data dictionary for all dashboarding and reporting efforts. Ensures all documentation is accurate and centralized for Workplace & Travel team usage

• Proactively seeks to make a better data experience for Workplace & Travel based on the changing and evolving needs of the business. Evaluates and analyses existing data visualizations and reports to suggest new means, methods and improvements to data delivery and helps drive interpretation and insights based on the data for the business Supports consistency of data delivery and seeks opportunities to drive improvement through better automation and insight

• Communicates with data stewards of source systems to promote proper data entry and governance that drive data accuracy in the Workplace & Travel Data Lake and within dashboards and reporting

• Supports Workplace Analytics team initiatives and goals by delivering a transparent and open experience on Slack, Teams, and the Data Portal, allowing users an easy, intuitive, and centralized experience to view data, exchange information and ideas and promote better utilization of data to help drive business decision making

Minimum qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in data Analytics preferred

• 5+ year of experience with PowerBI, Power Automate, SQL, Python and Microsoft Office tools

• Understanding of GenAI, data modelling and reporting

• Experience with collaboration tools such as SharePoint, Microsoft Teams, and Slack

• Ability to anticipate problems and initiative to pursue solutions

• Excellent oral and written skills. Must be detail oriented

• Presentation skills with the ability to distil and present actionable information and insights

• Will require some work outside of business hours to accommodate hours of AMER and EMEA staff
