Summary: Responsible for overall Database Governance with complete infrastructure management, ensuring availability and performance of the databases that support the system. To proactively monitor the database systems to ensure secure services with minimum downtime. Responsible for troubleshooting and problem solving of DBs. Responsible for improvement and maintenance of the databases. Working knowledge on Database architecture, Database Backup & Restore, DB maintenance, Handling BAU activities. Perform many related database functions, including designing, implementing, and maintaining new databases, backup/recovery and configuration management. Install database management systems (DBMS) and provide input for modification of procedures and documentation used for problem resolution and day-to-day maintenance. Roles & Responsibilities: • In depth Oracle Database Administration experience. • Responsible for ensuring availability and performance of the databases in system • Practical experience in database monitoring. • Proactively monitor the database systems to ensure services with minimum downtime • Good knowledge of Oracle Database Architecture • L3 Task hands on experience and troubleshooting • Provide SME support • Troubleshooting performance tuning issues. • Good knowledge on implementing Database level security. • knowledge on HADR (High availability) implementation. • Knowledge of reporting and query tools and practices. • Good interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills. • Should be able to document Technical skills. • Able to prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment. • Experience working in a team-oriented, collaborative environment. • Knowledge of Oracle/PostgreSQL/MySQL Database administration would be an advantage. Professional & Technical Skills: Resource should have good written and verbal communication skill - Flexible with rotation shifts 24*7 environment - Travel to other locations when required. - Good analytical Skill - Ability to document technical knowledge - Candidate should have at least 7+ years of experience in managing Oracle databases. - Should have at least 1 years’ experience in managing either MySQL/PostgreSQL/Oracle/MS /Sybase technology or any other Database technology would be an advantage - Good knowledge of O/S - Cross skilled in at least one more RDBMS - Oracle 11g,12c & 19c - SQL Plus - ASM - OEM - Unix commands - ITIL Certified - Leadership skills to Lead Team - Golden Gate - RAC - Data Guard - Oracle Database on EXACC Clusters Additional Information: - The candidate should have minimum 5 years of experience in Oracle Database Administration (DBA). - This position is based at our Bengaluru office. - A 15 years full time education is required.
