Research hospitals, NGOs, distributors, funders, and philanthropic organizations; build and prioritize commercial and fundraising pipelines; enrich prospect data; write and manage email outreach; qualify leads by phone; maintain CRM accuracy; support CEO fundraising activities; and report weekly on outreach and meetings.
We are looking for Business Development Interns to research and build our target list of hospitals, hospital chains, NGOs and distributors, and then run the email outreach that opens conversations.
You will also research funders and philanthropic organisations working in newborn health, and work directly with our CEO on fundraising.
The work is the front end of both our commercial pipeline and our fundraising: if you find the right hospital or the right funder and write the email that gets a reply, everything downstream follows from that. We are hiring for multiple positions.
What You'll Do
- Research and build our target list of private maternity hospitals, hospital chains, NGOs, CSR programmes and distributors, in India and internationally.
- Enrich each record with what actually matters: delivery volumes, decision makers, contact details and the right person to approach first.
- Write and run email outreach sequences that open conversations, then track what gets replies and improve on it.
- Research funders, foundations and philanthropic programmes active in newborn and maternal health, and build a prioritised funder pipeline.
- Work directly with our CEO on fundraising: prospect research, background briefs, outreach drafts and follow-up tracking.
- Speak to doctors, hospital staff and partner organisations on the phone to qualify interest and set up meetings for the sales team.
- Keep our CRM clean, current and free of duplicates.
- Report weekly on lists built, emails sent, replies received and meetings booked.
Requirements
- Sharp research instincts: you can find a hospital's delivery volume and the name of its purchase head without being told how.
- Clear written English, good enough that a cold email you write gets a reply.
- Confident spoken communication and the ability to hold a short, useful conversation with a doctor.
- Organised and consistent; this work rewards people who follow up on day 7 and day 21.
- Comfortable with spreadsheets, and willing to learn a CRM properly.
- Discretion and professionalism: you will see funder correspondence and work alongside the CEO.
- Currently studying or recently graduated in any discipline; an interest in healthcare or global health funding is a plus.
- Available for a 6-month full-time paid internship in Bangalore.
Benefits
- A paid internship with a monthly stipend.
- Direct exposure to how a medical device company actually sells, from first list to signed order.
- Direct working time with our CEO on live fundraising.
- A strong path into a full-time commercial role for interns who perform.
Start Date: As soon as possible.
