Role Overview

This is a hands-on, cross-functional role supporting the Managing Director, India in running the day-to-day operational, financial, compliance, and administrative functions of Stronghold Investment Management's India entity. You'll work across Finance, Tax & Transfer Pricing, HR & Labour Compliance, Legal & Corporate Secretarial, IT & Infrastructure, and General Office Administration. Not as a specialist in each, but as the person who ensures nothing falls through the cracks.

You'll coordinate between the Bangalore operations team and US executive leadership, external advisors, and banking and vendor partners, translating priorities into execution and keeping stakeholders aligned.

We're looking for a self-starter with 4 to 7 years of experience who thrives in ambiguity, takes initiative without waiting to be told, and has a bias for improving how things work. Experience with AI tools, particularly Claude, Claude Code, or Cowork, is expected.

Key Responsibilities

  • Strategic Initiatives: Support the MD in establishing and enhancing India operations. Drive implementation of scalable processes leveraging industry best practices.
  • Operational Excellence: Manage and improve day-to-day processes across site operations, administration, and business management. Identify bottlenecks and drive continuous improvement.
  • Governance & Compliance: Coordinate Transfer Pricing compliance, regulatory filings, and Board Meeting logistics. Maintain governance structures and prepare business reports and dashboards for leadership review.
  • Financial Management: Support the monthly financial reporting cycle, annual budget preparation, and Power BI dashboard maintenance for the India entity. Help implement financial controls for budgetary discipline.
  • Business Operations & Office Management: Manage Bangalore office facilities and daily operations. Coordinate with external advisors and review vendor contracts for cost-effectiveness.

Required Qualifications

  • 4 to 7 years of experience in business operations, office management, or a similar cross-functional role, preferably in technology, financial services, or fintech.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently, manage multiple workstreams, and drive tasks to completion with minimal supervision.
  • Strong working knowledge across at least two of: finance/accounting, compliance, HR operations, or vendor/office management.
  • Comfortable working with senior leadership and external stakeholders; strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficient in reporting and data tools (Excel, Power BI, or similar) with the ability to build dashboards and prepare executive-level summaries.
  • Experience using AI tools in a professional context, particularly Claude, Claude Code, and Cowork.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience supporting senior executives or working in a chief of staff or business operations capacity.
  • Exposure to GCC (Global Capability Centre) setup or scaling operations for a US-headquartered company.
  • Familiarity with Indian regulatory and compliance frameworks (transfer pricing, labour law, corporate secretarial).
  • Certification in Lean, Six Sigma, or other process improvement methodologies.
  • MBA or postgraduate degree in Business Administration, Operations, or a related field.
