This position is responsible for strategy, optimization, implementation, and management of complex SAP ERP architecture for Gas Power’s mission critical ERP systems. What you’ll do:

  • Be responsible for overall basis operations stream in terms of  SAP ERP eco-system performance, stability and consistency ensuring 100% availability through monitoring and preventive actions.
  • Manage internal team and cloud service provider for all delivery on platform related services, change requests and projects including regular review of system resources consumption and driving key optimization opportunities.
  • Support release management stream by ensuring adherence to release and change management governance. This includes evaluation and deployment of right toolsets in our landscape enhancing overall release process, bringing transparency, early detection of failure points, smooth technical go-lives.
  • Oversee and guide Integration stream to drive consistent design, delivery, support and standardization of the entire sets of interfaces in conjunction to ERP.
  • Build Testing Automation capability within ERP dev-ops organization partnering with product owners to help reducing manual effort in testing process (UT, SIT, UAT, Regression) during monthly releases and projects.
  • Recommend and implement best practices, system and process improvements, and simplification ideas across the eco-system.
  • Manage a team consisting of internal and external resources providing them guidance, coaching and driving business outcomes.
  • Manage the standardization and streamlining of all SAP BASIS activities for current and next generation technology implementations for SAP ERPs
  • Manage project deliverables, process improvement, strategy implementation, and build process automation while managing quality and cycle time
  • Lead system landscape migrations & consolidations, planning for obsolescence and upgrades for technology stack of SAP ERPs
  • Analyse requirements, propose solutions, and contribute towards technical architecture and design of SAP core technology stack and platforms such as NetWeaver, SAP HANA running at AWS cloud platforms
  • Contribute towards system landscape strategy and optimization, including design and realization of solutions such as high availability, disaster recovery, state of the art proactive monitoring and error handling

  • Work with business partners and ERP+ CoE leaders to improve business processes and arrive at mutual, cost effective solutions
  • Participate in the preparation of long-term systems plans aligned with business objectives and goals
  • Lead a team of senior SAP BASIS technical resources
  • Support and assist ERP+ CoE and P&L teams to evaluate technical solutions for new projects and requirements
  • Collaborate with ERP+ CoE in development, planning and execution of releases and deployments in adherence with standardized PowerMax methodologies
  • Stay on top of the latest trends in technologies and product roadmaps for ERP software, services and cloud hyperscalers. Partner with internal and external platform service providers, ERP CoE, shared services, CoreTech and SAP in design, development, and implementation of SAP technology solutions
  • Work with application and security teams to promptly address security vulnerability issues protecting ERP applications, database, infrastructure, and technology stack

Qualifications/Requirements (basic qualifications):

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or in “STEM” Majors (Science, Technology, Engineering and Math) with several years of professional experience OR Master’s degree with several years of experience in supporting complex ERP projects, migration to cloud, data center harmonization, Integration simplification initiatives, or equivalent experience.
  • Legal authorization to work in Hungary or India. We will not sponsor individuals for employment visas, now or in the future, for this job. Any offer of employment is conditioned upon the successful completion of a background investigation and drug screen
  • Must be willing to travel 10-15%
  • Strong ERP strategic and governance leadership skills, driving business transformation at enterprise level across multiple businesses
  • Stakeholders management in complex project environments involving multiple delivery teams and vendors.
  • Track record of merger-acquisition, carve-out and IT transformation programs with solid foundational knowhow on project governance methodology.
  • Good knowhow on technical integrations, interfaces, SOA principle, network and security aspects.
  • Moderate level of understanding on cloud platforms models (PaaS, SaaS, IaaS), SAP Basis, release & change management process
  • Background on IT testing competencies, methodology, experience with testing automation tools such as Worksoft, SAP Solution manager
  • CBTA would be nice to have
  • Understands technical and business discussions relative to future architecture direction aligning with business goals.
  • Understands the complexity and nuances in various phases of SAP projects and application maintenance with industry specific issues through an ITIL view.
  • Fluent English knowledge is essential

  • Complete project based work keeping a focus on hitting key project milestones.
  • Possesses good communication skills to coordinate, resolve queries of both external and internal customers
  • Self-motivator and result oriented to complete task as per timelines
  • Must have good analytical and problem solving skills
  • Positive attitude – goes the extra mile, is committed, willing to take on challenges and has a can-do mind-set.

For candidates applying to a U.S. based position, the pay range for this position is between Ft20.446.818,00 and Ft30.670.227,00. The Company pays a geographic differential of 110%, 120% or 130% of salary in certain areas. The specific pay offered may be influenced by a variety of factors, including the candidate’s experience, education, and skill set.

Bonus eligibility: ineligible.
