Department OverviewOur India finance operations is a function within the MSI Finance Operations Center primarily located in Penang and India. The MSI Finance Operations Center is recognized as a trusted partner to customers, suppliers, and employees, providing excellent service and quality support across Asia Pacific operations. Our department supports a wide range of Motorola Solutions R&D and business operations within the finance functions
Job Description
We are looking for a hands-on, closure-oriented finance professional to support our end-to-end finance operations. You will prepare the financial statements, manage audits, and champion process automation and entity integration within our growing finance framework.
Key Responsibilities:
- Financial Reporting & MEC: Lead the operations and Month-End Close process.
- Audit & Compliance: Strong Technical expertise in preparing accurate Financial Statements in compliance with Local GAAP, Manage audits end-to-end. Oversee the compliance calendar to ensure 100% timely filings.
- Taxation Liaison: Coordinate closely with external consultants for all Direct and Indirect Tax assessments and filings.
- Process Automation & Integration: Identify manual, repetitive accounting workflows and deploy automation solutions (e.g., Power Query, Macros, or ERP workflows) to streamline reporting and improve data accuracy. Drive the seamless financial integration of new entities.
- Stakeholder Management: Collaborate cross-functionally to resolve open reconciliation items. Run all tasks to full closure, not just reporting.
Basic Requirements
Credentials: Qualified CA (2-4 years)or Semi-Qualified (5-8 years) .
Experience: Minimum 2 years in a Big 4 firm plus at least 1 year in a corporate controllership/finance role.
Technical & Automation Skills: Strong command of ERP systems and advanced Excel. Proven experience or a strong aptitude for finance automation (e.g., Power Query, VBA/Macros, Alteryx, Power BI, or RPA basics) is highly preferred.
