Department OverviewThe Unified Communications team has a mission to become the leader in creating a highly scalable software platform and communication applications for first responders and industrial workgroups. Our customers rely on these solutions to run their critical business operations in the public safety, manufacturing, and infrastructure sectors. Every single day, we are shaping the future of mobile workgroup solutions for public safety and industrial users worldwide leveraging Motorola’s rich heritage in this space. Our solutions include broadband Push to Talk (PTT), multimedia messaging, location based collaboration, video streaming with full interoperability with land mobile radio (LMR) systems. The products include client apps on Android, iOS, and Windows. Our backend software can be deployed On-Prem, in private data centers, or in a public cloud infrastructure.
Job Description

This position is looking for a Senior Software Test Engineer who has experience with testing VoIP software applications, ideally with integration with LMR systems. Additionally, the candidate should have a solid understanding of the Windows and Linux operating systems and virtualization, basic networking and automation. 

Basic Requirements

• 5+ years of software testing experience

• Experience setting up, configuring, and testing on virtual machines. (VMWare and RHEL KVM )

• Experience with radio systems is a plus

• Ability to understand technical specifications, write test cases based on specifications, and execute test cases 

• Experience writing test reports and defect reports

• Network debugging experience

• Experience with automation and scripting languages such as Python.

• A strong work-ethic; is collaborative, reliable, and a self-starter 

• Experience with Azure DevOps for Work Items and Test Plans is an advantage.

• Mobile Testing and Automation experience is plus.
