Nek is an affordable luxury jewellery brand that is powered by Jar. It is the culmination of what we know best; affordability, the value of gold and crafting incredible connections. Nek's wide collection of silver and gold jewellery is made with meticulous artisanship to celebrate you and find the magic in every occasion.


Responsibilities

  • Recruitment and Talent Acquisition : Work closely with TA team for hiring needs.

  • Payroll Management

  • Collaborate with HR and Finance teams to ensure accurate employee data and payroll information and prepare and submit payroll reports as needed.
  • Calculate wages, overtime, deductions, and commissions.
  • Ensure compliance with payroll regulations and tax requirements.
  • Process bi-weekly, monthly, and ad-hoc payroll runs accurately and on time.
  • Manage payroll discrepancies and resolve payroll-related inquiries from employees.
  • Assist with payroll audits and compliance reviews.
  • Stay updated on changes in payroll regulations and best practices.

  • Employee Relations:

  • Serve as a point of contact for employee inquiries and concerns.
  • Mediate and resolve workplace conflicts and issues.
  • Foster a positive and inclusive work environment.

  • Benefits Administration:

  • Administer employee benefits programs, including health insurance, retirement plans, and other perks.
  • Assist employees with benefit-related questions and issues.

  • Performance Management:

  • Support the performance appraisal process.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of performance improvement plans.

  • HR Compliance:

  • Ensure compliance with labor laws and regulations.
  • Maintain accurate HR records and documentation.

  • Policy Development and Implementation:

  • Assist in creating, revising, and communicating HR policies and procedures.
  • Ensure organization-wide compliance with HR policies.

  • Employee Engagement:

  • Develop and implement initiatives to enhance employee engagement and satisfaction.
  • Conduct employee surveys and analyze feedback.

  • Terminations and Offboarding:

  • Manage the exit process for departing employees, including conducting exit interviews and processing necessary paperwork.

  • Workplace Health and Safety:

  • Assist in ensuring a safe and healthy work environment.
  • Coordinate workplace safety training and compliance.

What are we looking for?

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field (Master's degree or HR certification is a plus).
  • 1-3 years of progressive HR experience with a focus on generalist responsibilities and payroll.
  • Strong understanding of payroll processes, tax regulations, and compliance requirements.
  • Proficiency in payroll and HR software and MS Office, especially Excel.
  • Excellent numerical skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to handle confidential information with integrity.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to interact effectively with employees at all levels.
  • Strong knowledge of HR laws, regulations, and best practices.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Strong problem-solving and conflict resolution abilities.
  • Detail-oriented with exceptional organizational skills.
