World Business Lenders (WBL) provides general purpose short-term real estate collateralized commercial loans to a broad customer base comprised of small and medium sized businesses throughout the United States that lack access to traditional funding.

WBL is a U.S.-based company with a 100% remote workforce. 

The job requires excellent oral and written command of the English language. Resumes must be submitted in English.

In a fast-paced, high-expectation, results-oriented environment, the Legal Billing Management Team Lead will be responsible for overseeing the control of legal invoices, including tracking, reconciliation, and timely processing of payments to external law firms.

Requirements

• Lead a team responsible for review and approval of legal billing invoices to ensure compliance with company policies and negotiated fee arrangements.

• Act as the primary point of contact for law firms regarding billing inquiries, discrepancies, and clarifications.

• Request billing projections and forecasts for ongoing cases to facilitate financial planning and budgeting.

• Negotiate discounts, payment terms, and other financial adjustments with law firms and external vendors.

• Prepare detailed reports on legal billing expenditures, trends, and cost-saving opportunities for senior management.

• Ensure the legal billing system is updated and accurate.

• Identify opportunities for process improvements to enhance efficiency in legal billing management.

• Audit legal invoices to ensure alignment with the respective engagement letter and litigation tracking reports.

• Monitor and report financial information received from law firms.

• Perform other projects and duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Previous experience in legal billing is mandatory, preferably in the US.

• Degree in Law, Business Administration, or Finance.

• Excellent organizational, communication (both written and verbal) and computer skills.

• Able to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment and handle multiple projects simultaneously.

• Detail-oriented and resourceful with excellent follow-through skills.

• Proficient in all Microsoft Office, Power BI and Adobe applications.

• Able to establish and maintain effective work relationships both internally and externally.
