What you’ll do:

Lead team of Network Consultants at HPE Aruba Networking for HTS Professional Services delivery. Key focus areas at HTS Solution Engineering include, Design, Deploy, Migrate and Optimize networks leveraging IP based Wired and Wireless protocols and Automation. Candidate should have a strong background in IP based Wired / Wireless networking.

Applies advanced subject matter knowledge to manage staff activities in solving common and complex business/technical issues within established policies. Manages exempt individual contributors and/or supervisors. Has accountability for results of a major program in terms of cost, direction and people management. Provides guidance on process improvements and recommends changes in alignment with business tactics and strategy for area of responsibility. Plans, manages and monitors operational/tactical activities of Staff. Staff members' work may involve strategic issues. Recruits and supports development of direct staff members. Typically reports to MG2 or Director. 
Additional guidance/criteria: Manages and controls activities within a single country or a sub-region which is part of a larger geographical Region; Manages at least 4 employees and typically between 8 and 15 direct reports. Span of Control guidelines may differ from these numbers.

Responsibilities:

  • Hire, train and manage teams of network architects and consultants to deliver on HPE Aruba Professional Services including NaaS (Network as a Services) and High Touch Services (HTS), to a global customer base
  • Lead teams of Network Specialists / Experts to develop and deliver best in network solutions based on HPE Aruba Products, driven by customer business and technical requirements across various technology verticals including Routing / Switching , Wireless, Security , Data Center and SD-WAN
  • Lead network architects and consultants to provide services across the network lifecycle in the Day 0-1 Space that includes Pre Sales Scoping, Design, Solution Validation / Testing, Proof of Concepts, Deployment / Implementation and Migration
  • Lead teams to provide network consultancy and services based for post deployment (Day 2) design and architecture related needs, driven by customer business and technical requirements , plus Aruba product and OS roadmap.
  • Drive focus on Automation and Innovation : Lead teams to work with global stakeholders and development teams and define engineering requirements to build next gen platforms and tools
  • Provide Strategic planning for global delivery models : help design and build processes and segmentation rules that will enable global teams to combine and deliver services, ensuring timely delivery at enhanced margins
  • Work with Account managers and Regional teams to plan E2E delivery and also in resolving escalated issues escalated issues,  effectively leveraging matrix resources.
  • Work with Product Management for defining and ensuring delivery readiness based on portfolio service descriptions
  • Responsible for overall people management for direct reports that can include individual contributors and managers. That includes setting and monitoring of annual performance plans, coaching, and career development
  • Executive Presentations during Ops Reviews
  • Manage External Vendors and Partners and consider costs and timelines and ensure that vendors meet deadlines for deliverables and project elements. 
  • Plan and Drive hiring based on projected business needs

What you need to bring:

Education and Experience Required:

  • First level university degree or equivalent experience required.
  • Advanced university degree preferred.
  • Typically 15-18 years of Networking related work experience, including 2 years of people management experience.

Knowledge and Skills:

  • Strong background in Networking technology with approx 15-18 years or above of relevant professional services experience
  • ~2 years or more years’ experience in managing professional services teams across multiple facets of network consulting and network automation
  • Demonstrated industry awareness with proven track record in ITSM based service delivery leadership
  • Proven track record of successful people leadership and working with global teams across functions
  • Proven track record of planning and building professional services teams to achieve successful business goals / outcomes
  • Very Good communication skills (written, verbal, exec presentations)Good Analytical, problem solving skills with the ability to multi task and prioritize
  • Good relationship management skills, including partnering and consulting with senior management and Executives
  • Track record of successful coaching, team building, and conflict resolution
  • Strong leadership skills, including coaching, team-building, and conflict resolution.
  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills.
  • Ability to manage human capital across geographies to drive workforce development and achieve desired results.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, including negotiation, presentation, and influence skills.
  • Advanced business acumen, technical knowledge, and industry experience encompassing one or more engineering, technology, and product domains.
  • Strong multi-tasking and prioritization skills.
  • Good understanding of the company's policies and processes.
