POSITION SUMMARY
Our company is growing rapidly and is hiring for a Use Case Data Scientist to support our data solutions team. This individual will be part of a team that is using cutting edge technology to build solutions that works with large volumes of data across multiple platforms. They will partner with our team of data scientists, data gurus, and product owners to deliver products that will help drive decision making. Ultimately, this role will be responsible for translating business requirements and building machine learning models through all phases of development.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
- Participation in user interviews to understand technical and customer needs.
- Creating data pipelines using Pipeline Builder and Code Repositories
- Creating and managing data modeling objects
- Analyzing data using tools like Code Workbook, Contour and Quiver
- Establishing data connections, building data health monitors, and analyzing data lineage
- Managing request for customer facing applications built within machine learning technologies.
- Being a visionary who can translate business needs, challenges and requirements into solutions that deliver value to the organization.
Qualifications
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:
MINIMUM REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or other related field or equivalent work experience.
- 2-5 years of data engineering experience
- 2-5 years experience in predictive and prescriptive modeling.
- 2-5 years experience in programming for large scale data analysis and data modernization
- Experienced in Code Repositories / branching strategies.
SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE AND ABILITIES
- Hands-on experience with data science tools
- Ability to write scripts for data manipulation, transformation, and analysis.
- Proficiency in languages such as Python, SQL, or R.
- Problem Solving Aptitude
- Continuously researches and evaluates emerging technologies.
- Excellent Communication skills
Preferred: Strong background in the following areas:
- Experience in data engineering/ETL ecosystems with Palantir Foundry, Cognizant, Python, PySpark and Java
- Familiarity with machine learning algorithms and libraries (e.g., scikit-learn, TensorFlow, PyTorch).
Certificates, Licenses, Registrations or Professional Designations
- Certifications such as Foundry Application Developer Foundry Data Analyst, Foundry Data Engineer a plus
