Platform Fabric Interconnect (RDMA) Engineer
This role has been designed as ‘Hybrid’ with an expectation that you will work on average 2-3 days per week from an HPE office.

What you’ll do:
- Strong C programming experience and Linux scripting skills
- Knowledge of InfiniBand and programming with RDMA Verbs
- Knowledge of protocol analysis, network analysers, packet capture devices, or Wireshark
- Experience programming in a Linux environment
- Knowledge of virtualization and cloud architectures and technologies like QEMU/KVM/libvert
- Strong interpersonal skills to interact with customers and team members, communicating with both technical and non-technical audience
- Participate on a project team of highly experienced engineers involved in the development of our next generation platform Fabric Interconnect using C and Python
- Designs, codes and programs enhancements, updates, and changes for portions and subsystems of the NonStop Fabric Interconnect software suite.
- Develops understanding of and relationship with internal and outsourced development partners on Linux Kernel design and development.
- Conceptualize ideas, target research and rapid prototyping to determine feasibility, evaluate risks, and create well-thought-out designs and implementation.
- Participates in all phases of the product development cycle, from definition, design, through implementation and test. to develop reliable, cost effective and high quality solutions for our products.
- Drives innovation and integration of new technologies into projects and activities in the software systems design organization.
- Work with customers and analysts as needed to resolve issues with products, investigate problems, and deliver identified solutions.
- Collaborate and communicate with management and internal and outsourced development partners regarding project status and issue resolution
What you need to bring:
- BS in Computer Science or Computer Engineering, MS degree preferred.
- 5-10 years of relevant experience
