The Functional / Business Analyst partners with Product, Technology, and Customer‑facing teams to translate business needs into clear, high‑quality functional solutions.
The role contributes to requirement analysis, functional design, validation, and ongoing production quality, while collaborating across teams to support successful delivery of Amadeus products.
- Apply relevant functional and/or technical experience while continuing to grow knowledge of the discipline and Amadeus business context.
- Follow established processes and contribute ideas that support better decisions, improved processes, and enhanced solutions.
- Work independently when appropriate while seeking guidance and support from the manager and team when needed.

ResponsibilitiesRequirements Assessment- Build, maintain, and share functional knowledge of processes, services, and end‑user products.
- Collaborate with Product Management to understand, clarify, and analyze business requirements.
- Estimate effort required for specification, documentation, and validation activities.
- Develop and maintain functional deliverables, including:
- Feasibility studies
- Solution overviews
- Interface control documents
- Functional and product specifications
- Deliver clear and structured functional walkthroughs to technical and non‑technical stakeholders.
- Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to identify system interactions and ensure functional compatibility.
- Contribute to defining and implementing the testing approach.
- Review test plans to ensure functional compliance and system quality.
- Maintain traceability between requirements, specifications, and test cases.
- Support production quality by investigating, validating, and prioritizing reported issues.
- Partner effectively with Product Management, Project Management, Development, Customer Services, Implementation, and Migration teams.
- Collaborate with customers during requirement clarification, functional reviews, testing, and implementation phases.
- Participate in agile ceremonies, team meetings, solution reviews, and continuous improvement activities.
- Contribute to a collaborative and knowledge‑sharing team environment.

- Booking processes (air, hotel, rail, car)
- Ticketing, changes, exchanges, and cancellations
- Post‑trip expense processing and reconciliation
- Familiarity with Online Booking Tools (OBTs)
- Awareness of GDS concepts (PNRs, fare rules, ticketing and exchanges)
- Expense claim lifecycle (creation to reimbursement)
- Pre‑trip and post‑trip policy enforcement
- Per diem and mileage handling
- VAT/GST concepts
- Multi‑currency and FX conversion
- Receipt management and OCR basics
- Corporate card reconciliation (lodge cards, virtual cards, personal cards)
