The Role

Company Description

This role is part of the Product Marketing function and requires one to effectively partner across Product Management, Sales,Solution Engineering,Revenue Enablement,Product Marketing and other marketing functions within the company.

Responsibilities:

Create and Strengthen Messaging and Positioning against key competitors 


  • Identify and monitor current and potential competitors in the market. 

  • Research competition by applying quantitative and qualitative research methodologies. Monitor pricing, marketing strategies, and market approaches to understand their strengths and weaknesses.

  • Create clear, compelling messaging and competitive positioning artifacts( battlecards,competitive take out kits, competitive landing pages) that resonate with our target buyer.

  • Collaborate with customers and sales teams to gather on-the-ground competitive insights and incorporate them into broader market analysis. 

  • Partner with Product Marketing Managers and deliver the competitive insights required for new product launches, pitch creation.

  • Partner with Product Management Teams and deliver competitive insights required for new product development.

  • Lead sales conversations and intuitively listen to sales for feedback and tailor competitive content to GTM needs to equip them in effectively selling.


Drive Competitive Attack Programs


  • Partner with Revenue Enablement Teams and align with Sales priorities and provide effective compete content to support competitive attack programs.

  • Partner with Integrated Marketing Teams and align and provide effective compete content to support competitive take out campaigns.

  • Present findings and deliver Competitive Insights to equip GTM Teams to beat competition and act as a SME on the competitive landscape.
  • Create and publish win wires to showcase wins to the GTM Teams and boost seller confidence to beat competition.Regularly report on competitive and win/loss insights to internal stakeholders. 

  • Effectively Enable GTM Teams


Job Description

  • 8-10+ years of experience in delivering competitive insights preferably within B2B software or SaaS/PaaS environments. Prior experience in ITSM is a plus. 

  • Ability to understand highly technical information and translate to value proposition and business benefits in a customer friendly language. 

  • Specialize in writing compelling competitive positioning content to an IT audience.

  • Self-starter, independent and result-oriented who can go the extra mile to drive outcomes.

  • Ability to take ownership and demonstrate and ensure accountability to achieve the intended business outcomes.

  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills with strategic mindset and business acumen.

  • Excellent presentation, communication and cross-functional collaboration skills. 

  • Situational leadership and ability to lead and influence cross-functional teams.

  • Growth mindset and intellectual curiosity to improve the business to drive growth.

  • Creates a results-focused team atmosphere; ensures that people engage in productive behaviors and don’t settle for poor performance and builds a strong sense of urgency in exceeding the goals. 

  • Fluently adapts to different cultural norms and expectations; engages

successfully with a wide range of people.

  • Fosters an environment in which the team holds each other accountable for always delivering on workgroup goals as well as adhering to all policies and procedures.

  • Probes into GTM feedback and data from Revenue Operations; uses this input to drive continuous improvement.
