Introduction
The Senior Physical design engineer with some supervision develop flows, designs and delivers physical design of tile/subchip/partition. This role works directly with physical design lead not only execution of sub-designs in ambitious schedule but also continuously develops reusable flows & methodologies.
Your Job
- As a senior engineer in physical Design, you will own backend implementation flow or execution of flow for sub-designs. This not only includes placement, clock‑tree synthesis, routing but also timing closure with crosstalk and full physical verification.
- You will work with domain experts and get clarity on PPA priorities to chase on an ambitious schedule
- Collaboration is central to this role— working with your team leads on priorities and predictable schedule
- You will also contribute significantly in developing next‑generation EDA tools, flows, and methodologies.
Other Responsibilities
- Perform all activities in a safe and responsible manner and support all Environmental, Health, Safety & Security requirements and programs.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related field.
- 3+ years of industry experience exclusively in Physical design – RTL2GDS
- Good hands‑on experience, analysis & debug skills:
Congestion, Timing analysis and Physical verification.
- Strong proficiency with one of the EDA tools from Synopsys, Cadence, or Siemens.
- Clear articulation & communication skills.
- Strong analytical mindset
Preferred Qualifications
- Exposure to AMS design & integration
- Strong in any scripting language for flow/methodology development including Physical verification
- Exposure to design abstraction & modeling
