Job Title: Senior HR Operations Executive 
Reports to: Head of HR 
Location: Bangalore, India
Working Hours:
10:00 AM – 7:00 PM IST, Monday to Friday Office-based: Mandatory 5-days week working from the office
Key Relationships: Project Managers, HR Team, Business Support, Talent Acquisition team

Role Overview:

We are seeking a highly organised and detail-oriented Sr HR Operations to manage the full employee lifecycle, from pre-onboarding to offboarding, with a special focus on payroll and data management, ensuring smooth HR operations processes and exceptional employee experience.  This role requires a responsible, proactive, and data-driven professional with strong attention to detail, capable of handling sensitive information and driving accuracy across payroll, reporting, and compliance functions.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: 

I. Employee Lifecycle Management 

  1. Oversee the end-to-end employee lifecycle, including onboarding, employee records management, and offboarding.
  2. Manage pre-employment processes, such as background checks, documentation, and
  3. preparation of employment contracts, ensuring a seamless pre-employee experience.
  4. Coordinate exit procedures, including final settlements, return of assets, and exit interviews.

II. Payroll & Benefits Administration 

  1. Manage monthly payroll processing, ensuring accuracy in attendance, leaves, overtime, bonuses, other payments and statutory deductions.
  2. Maintain updated employee information related to benefits and compensation.
  3. Liaise with Finance and external payroll vendors to ensure timely and error-free disbursement of salaries and statutory payments.
  4. Ensure compliance with local labor, tax, and statutory requirements (social security, insurance, etc.
  5. Oversee the benefits company-wide and coordinate with the different vendors for the yearly renewals.
  6. Manage and approve expenses reimbursements in a timely manner to ensure disbursements with the monthly payroll.
  7. Manage the end-to-end ESOP process, including the documentation, offline exercising and maintain the Carta platform up to date.

Primary tools include:

  1. HR & Payroll Platforms: JustWorks, Deel, RazorPay, Carta, BambooHR, 15Five, Asana, Insightful, Plum, Zomato, Bupa, SunLife.
  2. Operational & Productivity Tools: Slack, Google Workspace, Atlassian,1Password, HubSpot, Microsoft 365 Admin Centre

III. Data Management & Reporting 

  1. Maintain accurate and confidential HR databases, employee files, and systems (e.g., HRIS, attendance, and leave management).
  2. Generate and analyse HR and payroll-related reports (headcount, turnover, attendance, compensation analysis, and other KPIs).
  3. Support internal and external audits by providing the required HR data and documentation.

IV. HR Operations & Employee Support 

  1. Serve as the first point of contact for employee queries related to payroll, benefits, and policies, ensuring timely and accurate responses.
  2. Coordinate business trips, including flights, accommodation and insurance for individual or group business trips, ensuring the processes and policies are followed thoroughly and budgets are met.
  3. Identify opportunities to improve HR processes and implement automation or efficiency initiatives.

V. Compliance & Documentation 

  1. Ensure compliance with local labor laws, internal policies, and company procedures.
  2. Manage and safeguard confidential employee data and records.
  3. Prepare official HR correspondence, reports, and presentations as needed.

What will you bring?

  1. Exceptional attention to detail, accuracy, and organisational skills. Strong sense of responsibility.
  2. Ability to handle confidential information with discretion and be aware of the dangers of data leaks and how this can affect company culture (confidentiality is a must!).
  3. Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment and being able to meet strict deadlines.
  4. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact effectively across departments.
  5. Proficiency in Excel/Google Sheets, HRIS systems, and data management.
  6. Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team.
  7. Prior experience working across time zones or with international teams is a must.
  8. Ability to drive positive employee relations and monitor organisational health.

Qualifications:

  1. Bachelor’s degree in HR, Business Administration, accountant, or a related field is preferred.
  2. 3-5 years of experience in HR Operations / Payroll Administration roles.
  3. Prior experience in a multinational or mid-size corporate environment is preferred.
  4. Solid understanding of HR compliance, payroll cycles, and reporting processes.
