A Day in Your Life at MKS:
As a Senior Mechanical Engineering Specialist (Drafter/Designer) at MKS Global Capability Center Bangalore, you will partner with R&D teams across MKS PSD Business Units to generate, maintain, and document mechanical components and assemblies’ models.
You Will Make an Impact By:
- Sustaining Mechanical Engineering - generate detailed solid models and drawings of components and assemblies, update legacy models and prints. Convert 2D to 3D files, convert CREO CAD files to Solidworks files.
- Complete documentation of designs conforming to MKS documentation standards including detail and assembly drawings, BOMs, design review presentations, and reports
- Manage, generate, and implement ECO documentation changes. Manage the documentation of labels and cables drawings. Create and document tooling layouts.
- Manage, establish and enforce drafting/documentation standards, Manage PDM vault and enforcing procedural standards
- Apply best practices for material selection, design trades, and tolerance studies. Closely collaborate with other engineering disciplines to establish and document fabrication processes.
Skills You Bring:
- 5 years’ experience and professional degree, Mechanical Engineering preferred.
- Exceptional attention to detail. Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Proficiency with CREO and Solidworks. Vaulting software/ PDM experience
- Experience supporting mechanical design group in product development and Engineering Change Order processes in a collaborative, cross functional team environment
- Working knowledge of drafting standards and GD&T ASME Y14.5
- Problem resolution skills applied to providing solutions for design and assembly techniques, technologies and concepts
