Job Title – Senior QA Engineer
This is a challenging opportunity for a Performance/Chaos engineer to play a pivotal role in identifying and recommending solutions to system performance and stability in the investment banking domain.
The Purpose of This Role
The FFIO (Fidelity Fund and Investment Operations) Technology teams manage applications that provide accounting and investment management support to Fidelity businesses and mutual fund shareholders. Associate will be responsible for handling end to end Performance engineering projects by collaborating with Development teams, QA teams and Business partners.
The Value You Deliver
Perform load tests to validate system performance and stability
Provide technical assistance to improve system performance, capacity, reliability, and scalability
Perform root cause analysis of performance issues and suggest corrective actions.
Oversee system performance lifecycle and identify key metrics for performance improvements.
Evaluate system performances and recommend improvements.
Generate periodic performance reports for management review.
Identify and provide innovative solutions that improve the capabilities of the performance engineering center of excellence
The Skills that are Key to this role
Technical
Hands on experience in Performance scripting, execution and analysis using Jmeter(HTTP\HTML protocol and Webservices)
Hands on experience with Rush Hour performance testing infrastructure
Hands on experience in Datadog, Performance infra setup in cloud
Hands on experience in chaos engineering tools and understanding of concepts
Well versed in Docker and Kubernetes
Expertise in Memory, Heap, Thread dump analysis, Memory profiling, CPU Profiling
Expertise in Complete JVM Analysis
Ability to design Custom jmeter scripts for Reactive APIs
Ability to analyze the root cause of Performance issues using Dynatrace\JVisualVM\JMC
Experience in Shell\PERL\UNIX scripting
Intermediate work experience in JAVA and Python
Designing end to end performance frameworks including Capacity planning, Load simulation, Setting up observability dashboards

Basic knowledge of PL/SQL

Knowledge on JAVA Spring boot

The Expertise We’re Looking For
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related subject.
6 - 9 years of experience in Performance engineering
Financial services experience preferred.
