We are looking for a Senior QA Engineer to join our Books division in India. In this role, you will participate as a team member on various engineering projects with opportunity to make a difference in project direction. If you are proficient in Automation Testing and are excited about the prospect of working in testing team, we would love to speak with you. This role will be reporting to the Lead.
About You – experience, education, skills, and accomplishments
- Bachelor’s degree in related field such as Computer Science
- Minimum 2 years of experience working on Automation Testing
- Skills: Working knowledge on Selenium/Java, Cucumber/JUnit.
- Experience in API testing frameworks in Java for REST/SOAP/other XML-based services.
- Experience in writing Database SQL queries
It would be great if you also had.
- Experience with TestRail
- Experience in testing multiple systems at the same time
What will you be doing in this role?
- Design, implement, execute, and debug/fix automated tests of moderate complexity.
- Identify risk and develop and implement mitigation plans under general supervision.
- Configure regression framework to run against different instances.
- Estimate effort required for given story or task.
- Provide inputs and escalate issues in bug triage meetings and coordinate with development team.
- Use developing skills to conduct root cause analysis, escalating significantly complex issues as necessary.
- Provide support and mentorship to team members.
About the Team
This is a team based in India consisting of both junior and experienced software developers. The team is part of the Academic & Government Books division. They work in close collaboration with other Books Development and Product Management teams that are based in United States.
