The Job
Harness is seeking a Staff Product Manager to drive critical capabilities in our Cloud Cost Management solution, enhancing our position as the leading FinOps platform with a breadth of capabilities across intelligent automation, governance and complex cost reporting.
In this role, you will own technical, end-to-end product initiatives with a high degree of ownership — from identifying user needs and defining requirements to overseeing development and ensuring successful delivery.You’ll work closely with engineering teams to guide product development, ensuring technical feasibility and high-quality execution while collaborating across departments to foster innovation and efficiently solve complex FinOps challenges.
This is a high-impact, individual contributor role, with a strong focus on technical execution. You will partner directly with engineers and cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality solutions that address real-world challenges in the world of FinOps, driving tangible improvements in the development process.

About the role
- The successful candidate will partner with customers, sales and engineering teams to define and build impactful capabilities

- Partner with Developer Relations and Product Marketing teams to contribute to both internal and external content, to help drive product awareness and branding.
- Write and manage detailed technical product requirements and specifications that can be directly utilized by engineering teams to implement features efficiently.
- Collaborate closely with engineering to ensure technical feasibility and the timely delivery of high-quality features.
- Engage with customers, developers, and internal stakeholders to gather requirements, address pain points, and drive continuous product improvement.
- Use data and insights to drive both strategic product decisions and day-to-day execution, balancing short-term needs with long-term innovation.
- Contribute to product roadmap development by identifying and prioritizing new features and improvements based on customer feedback, technical considerations, and business goals.
RequirementsMust have
- 5-8 years of experience in Engineering / Software Development
- 3+ years of experience in product management with SaaS / Cloud companies
- Familiarity with Cloud technologies (AWS, GCP, Azure) and Kubernetes
- Strong analytical skills and data-driven product decision-making mindset
- Strong communication skills, verbal and written
Nice to have
- Proficiency in using Business Intelligence tools like Looker for analyzing data, creating dashboards, and deriving actionable insights.
- Familiarity with FinOps principles, including cost visibility, cloud spend governance, and strategies to optimize usage and budgets.
- Familiarity with generative AI advancements and tools in the ecosystem.
