What you'll do :

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide advanced technical support to diagnose and resolve complex network issues in a timely manner.
  • Address incidents and service requests related to network connectivity, performance, and configuration.
  • Perform root cause analysis on recurring issues and apply permanent fixes to ensure stable network operations.
  • Act as a primary point of contact for users and clients regarding network-related issues and inquiries.
  • Provide clear and effective communication to customers, explaining resolutions and offering preventive guidance.
  • Escalate complex issues to higher-tier support or engineering teams while keeping users informed throughout the process.
  • Assess and appreciate technical issues and customers' business impact, and manage technical communication with customers and other stakeholders.
  • Fault isolation, Problem reproduction, interacting with the engineering teams, QA, and development engineers, Escalation and Elevation management
  • Development of knowledge content and runbooks

What you need to bring:

Knowledge & Skills Required:Data Center Network Design and Implementation:

  • Architect and deploy high-performance, scalable network solutions in data center environments, using Cisco, Mellanox, and Aruba hardware.
  • Optimize network configurations for reliability, security, and minimal latency, supporting critical applications and services.
  • Work closely with IT and development teams to gather requirements, plan solutions, and deploy network changes seamlessly.

Software-Defined Networking (SDN):

  • Design, configure, and manage SDN environments, with a focus on VMware NSX for network virtualization, segmentation, and automation.
  • Integrate SDN solutions with hybrid setups, including Mellanox, Aruba, and Kubernetes, ensuring seamless connectivity across environments.
  • Utilize network automation tools (e.g., Ansible, Python) for provisioning, configuration, and monitoring of SDN and containerized networks.

Container and Kubernetes Networking:

  • Design and implement network solutions for containerized applications, focusing on Kubernetes networking (e.g., CNI plugins like Calico, Flannel, and Cilium).
  • Support Kubernetes cluster networking, including pod-to-pod and service-to-service communications, ingress and egress, and load balancing.
  • Troubleshoot network issues within Kubernetes environments and optimize configurations to ensure high performance and reliability.

Mellanox and Aruba Network Management:

  • Deploy, configure, and manage Mellanox and Aruba network devices to optimize performance in data centers and support enterprise-grade connectivity.
  • Monitor and maintain the health of Mellanox switches and Aruba wireless networks, addressing connectivity and performance issues as needed.
  • Document network architectures and configurations for Mellanox and Aruba devices, supporting streamlined technical support and maintenance.

Technical Support and Troubleshooting:

  • Provide technical support and incident management, resolving network issues for Cisco, VMware NSX, Mellanox, Aruba, and Kubernetes environments.
  • Diagnose, troubleshoot, and resolve complex network problems in containerized and traditional environments, performing root cause analysis to prevent recurrence.
  • Act as an escalation point for support teams, providing expertise for advanced troubleshooting and training on best practices.

Network Security and Compliance:

  • Implement and maintain robust network security practices, including firewalls, ACLs, network segmentation, and micro-segmentation.
  • Conduct regular security audits across Cisco, Kubernetes, and SDN environments to ensure compliance with organizational and regulatory standards.
  • Collaborate with security teams to address network vulnerabilities and enforce secure configurations across containerized and physical networks.

Performance Monitoring and Optimization:

  • Use monitoring tools (e.g., SolarWinds, Prometheus, Grafana) to assess network and container performance, addressing any bottlenecks or inefficiencies.
  • Optimize networking configurations across Cisco, Mellanox, Aruba, VMware NSX, and Kubernetes environments to ensure low-latency and high-availability performance.
  • Generate and analyze reports on network health, performance metrics, and incident response, providing recommendations for continuous improvement.

Documentation and Knowledge Sharing:

  • Document configurations, architectures, troubleshooting steps, and best practices across Cisco, VMware NSX, Kubernetes, Mellanox, and Aruba environments.
  • Maintain detailed records of changes, support cases, and solutions, ensuring knowledge sharing with the team.
  • Train junior engineers and support staff on advanced network troubleshooting and container networking techniques.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
  • 5+ years of experience in network engineering, with a exposure to  data center, SDN, and Kubernetes networking.
  • Proven expertise in Cisco, VMware NSX, Mellanox, Aruba, and Kubernetes networking solutions.
  • Strong knowledge of network protocols (BGP, OSPF, VXLAN, CNI plugins) and proficiency in network automation tools like Ansible and Python.
  • Certifications: Cisco (CCNP/CCIE), VMware NSX (VCP-NV), and relevant Kubernetes, Aruba, and Mellanox certifications preferred.
  • Experience in customer-facing technical support, with strong troubleshooting and root cause analysis skills.

Preferred Skills:

  • Familiarity with cloud networking (AWS, Azure, GCP) and hybrid cloud solutions.
  • Proficiency with network monitoring tools (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana) for container environments.
  • Strong analytical skills and ability to manage complex, multi-vendor network environments effectively under pressure.
