Roles & Responsibilities:
As an Engineer QA for our Digital team, you will be responsible for ensuring the quality and performance of our digital platforms. Your core responsibilities will include:
- Test Planning & Traceability:
- Develop detailed test plans, test cases, and test scripts based on requirements and specifications.
- Ensure traceability from requirements to test cases and defects using tools such as Jira.
- Track and report on test progress, issues, and overall test status.
- Test Automation:
- Design, implement, and maintain automated tests for digital applications using tools such as Selenium and WebDriver.io.
- Collaborate with developers to integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines.
- Continuously improve and optimize the test automation process.
- SDLC Understanding:
- Work closely with development teams throughout the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) to ensure quality at every stage.
- Participate in sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and sprint reviews to ensure that quality standards are met.
- Be involved in requirements gathering and design reviews to identify potential testing challenges early in the development process.
- Defect Management:
- Identify, log, and track defects using Jira, ensuring clear documentation and prioritization.
- Collaborate with development teams to facilitate defect resolution and ensure timely fixes.
- Continuous Improvement:
- Stay current with industry trends and best practices for quality assurance and automation.
- Proactively recommend improvements in test processes, tools, and methodologies.
- Collaboration & Communication:
- Work closely with cross-functional teams including developers, product managers, and designers to ensure seamless integration and deployment of quality software.
- Communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Skills & Qualifications:
- 3-5 years of experience in Quality Assurance (QA) and test automation.
- Strong experience with test automation tools such as Selenium and WebDriver.io.
- Proficiency in using Jira for test case management, defect tracking, and traceability.
- Solid understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and agile methodologies.
- Experience in writing and executing manual and automated test cases.
- Strong problem-solving skills with a keen eye for detail.
- Good communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Experience with CI/CD tools is a plus.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Familiarity with other testing tools (e.g., Postman, Jenkins) is a plus.
- Experience in testing web applications and mobile applications.
- Knowledge of performance testing and load testing tools is a bonus.
