Position Overview:
The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience and technical expertise in machinery and workshop operations. You will be part of a dedicated team that prioritizes quality, safety, and efficiency in workshop practices.
Responsibilities:
- Loading & Unloading: Safely load and unload goods from trucks and containers.
- Order Preparation: Pick, pack, and prepare orders for shipment accurately.
- Inventory Management: Conduct regular inventory counts, report discrepancies, and ensure proper storage of parts.
- Incoming Shipments: Assist in receiving shipments, inspecting for damage, and verifying contents.
- Pre-Delivery Inspections (PDI): Perform PDI for new inbound machines, stored machines, and outbound shipments to ensure they meet quality standards.
- Parts Management: Identify, label, and manage parts inventory; ensure timely supply through ordering and dispatch processes.
- Record Keeping: Maintain accurate records of machine arrivals, PDI completion, and corrective actions for on-hold machines.
- Team Collaboration: Work closely with team members to support daily operations and resolve issues efficiently.
- Workshop Safety: Maintain a clean, organized, and safe workshop, adhering to all safety procedures.
- Equipment Operation: Operate warehouse equipment (e.g., forklifts) as required.
- Machine Maintenance: Conduct basic repairs, troubleshooting, and charging of machines as needed.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical training or certification is a plus.
- Prior experience in a warehouse, workshop, or mechanical environment preferred.
- Basic knowledge of machinery, tools, and inventory management.
- Ability to operate forklifts and other warehouse equipment (certification a plus).
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
- Physically capable of lifting heavy objects and working in a hands-on role.
- Good communication and teamwork abilities.
- Familiarity with safety protocols and procedures.
