We're looking for an experienced Technical Program Manager (TPM) to drive the execution of complex, cross-functional initiatives for our core platform and data infrastructure. In this role, you will be the operational backbone of our engineering organization, ensuring that ambitious technical projects are delivered on time and with high quality. You'll partner with Product and Engineering leaders to manage dependencies, mitigate risks, and provide clear communication across multiple teams, enabling us to scale our systems reliably and efficiently.

Job Function & Responsibilities

Your primary responsibility is to orchestrate and successfully deliver large-scale technical programs. While Product Managers define the "what" and "why," you will own the "how" and "when."

  • Program Execution: Own the end-to-end delivery of complex technical programs, from planning and scoping to launch and post-launch analysis. This includes major infrastructure migrations, new service rollouts, and platform-wide security enhancements.
  • Project Planning & Tracking: Develop and maintain detailed project plans, identify critical paths, manage schedules, and track progress against milestones. You are the master of the Gantt chart and the Jira board.
  • Dependency Management: Act as the connective tissue between engineering teams. Proactively identify, track, and resolve cross-team dependencies to ensure project velocity is maintained.
  • Risk Mitigation: Identify potential risks to the project schedule, scope, or quality, and develop clear mitigation plans. You anticipate problems before they happen.
  • Stakeholder Communication: Establish and lead communication cadences to keep all stakeholders—from individual engineers to VPs of Engineering—informed about program status, risks, and decisions.
  • Process Improvement: Continuously improve our engineering execution and program management processes. Drive the adoption of best practices and tools to enhance predictability and efficiency.
Required Skills & Experience
  • 5+ years of experience in technical program management, technical project management, or a related role within a software engineering organization.
  • Strong Technical Foundation: You must be able to hold your own in technical conversations. You have a solid understanding of cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure), distributed systems, data pipelines, CI/CD, and software development lifecycles.
  • Expert in Project Management: Mastery of project management methodologies (Agile, Scrum, Kanban) and tools (Jira, Confluence, Asana, etc.).
  • Exceptional Organizational Skills: Meticulous attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple complex projects simultaneously without losing sight of the strategic goals.
  • Influence and Negotiation: A proven ability to drive alignment and resolve conflicts across teams with differing priorities. You are skilled at leading through influence.
  • Educational Background: A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
A Typical Day Might Include
  • Leading a stand-up with engineers from three different teams to sync on a project.
  • Updating a project timeline and communicating changes to stakeholders.
  • Facilitating a technical design meeting to ensure all dependencies are understood before coding begins.
  • Identifying a resource conflict between two projects and working with engineering managers to resolve it.
  • Drafting a weekly status report for executive leadership.
  • Diving into a Jira board to help a team unblock a critical task.
